CITY Ol LOVERSIDE <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBERI <br /> <br />Minutes off <br />Time of Meeting: <br />Place of Meeting: <br />Date of Meeting: <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />9 a.m. <br />Art Pick Council Chamber, City Hall <br />May 15, 2001 <br /> <br />WARDS <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Councilmember Defenbaugh was out of town on City business. <br /> <br />The Invocation was given by Councilmember Adkison. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. <br /> <br />PRESENTATIONS <br />The presentation of a Certificate of Appreciation to Public Safety Dispatcher Marilyn <br />Cameron, Public Safety Officer for the month of May 2001, was continued. <br /> <br />Mayor Loveridge presented a Proclamation to Peter Benavidez and Jane Williams <br />proclaiming the week of May 14-20, 2001, as Blind Awareness Week. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for <br />consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each <br />item. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />The Minutes of the Meeting of May 8, 2001, were approved as presented. <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />CASE EP-017-001 - NORTH ORANGE PIPELINE <br />The City Council upheld the action of the Planning Commission in determining that <br />the proposal by the City of Riverside Public Utilities Department to construct four <br />segments of water transmission pipeline within the street right-of-way along Chicago, <br />Columbia, Mulberry, and Iowa Avenues; Ardmore, Linden, Vine, Third, Second, <br />Main, Russell, Oxford, and Orange Streets; Chase Road, La Cadena Drive, and on <br />City property and easements, would not have a significant effect on the environment <br />because mitigation measures have been required; concurred in the adoption of a <br />Mitigated Negative Declaration; and found that the proposed project could have <br />potential for adverse effects on wildlife resources and the applicant is responsible for <br />payment of Fish and Game fees at the tine the Notice of Determination is filed with <br />the County. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER <br /> <br />BID 5798 - STORM DRAIN REALIGNMENT - 3011 LA CADENA <br />The City Council (1) awarded Bid 5798 to David T. Wasden, Inc., in the amount of <br />$24,700 (Project Accounts 9745926-440301 and 9745900-440301) for realignment of <br />a storm drain at 3011 La Cadena Drive; and (2) authorized the preparation of <br />appropriate contract documents for execution by the City Manager or his designee. <br /> <br /> 86-350 <br /> <br />Present <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />All Ayes <br /> <br /> <br />
