The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. PRESENTATIONS Mayor Loveridge presented a Proclamation to Clifford Breland, Artistic Director of Bre Dance Theater, proclaiming May I2, 2001, as Bre Dance Theater Day. Mayor Loveridge presented a Proclamation to Ty Dabney, owner of Skip Fordyce Motorcycle Center, and Don O'Dell and Rosa Green from West Coast Thunder II, proclaiming May 28, 2001, as West Coast Thunder II Day. CONSENT CALENDAR The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each item but amending the final sentence on page 86-332 of the minutes of April 24, 2001, to read "Ken Delino, Executive Director, reported on the activities of the March Joint Powers Commission." MINUTES The Minutes of the Meeting of April 24, 2001, were approved as amended. CITY MANAGER BID 5825 - MINOR STREET REHABILITATION 2000-2001, PHASE II - CENTRAL WIDENING AT WILDERNESS AND LAW LIBRARY PARKiNG LOT MAiNTENANCE - SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION - RESOLUTION The City Council (1) adopted a resolution accepting State Assembly Bill 2928 transportation congestion relief funding; (2) authorized the Finance Director to show revenues of $l,851,361.02 received from the State of California in the Special Gas Tax Revenue Fund (GL 0000230-335300) and appropriated an amount of $1,I00,000 into Minor Street Rehabilitation 2000-2001, Phase II, Project Account 9540927- 440223; (3) awarded Bid 5825 to All American Asphalt in the amount of $959,985.50 (Project Accounts 9540927-440223, 9541530-440302, and 2830802-421002) for minor street rehabilitation 2000-2001, Phase II, Central Avenue widening at Wilderness Avenue, and the Law Library parking lot maintenance; and (4) authorized the preparation of appropriate contract documents for execution by the City Manager or his designee; whereupon Resolution No. 19899 of the City Council of the City of Riverside, California Accepting the Transportation Congestion Relief Fund Allocation of $1,851,361.02 for Street Pavement Maintenance, Reconstruction and Rehabilitation of Associated Facilities, Conditioned on the Expenditure of Such Funds by June 30, 2002; and Certifying the City Will Maintain Its Level of General Fund Expenditures Present Motion Second All Ayes 86-335
