CITY OF R_ ?ERSIDE <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />COUNC~,~MEMBERS <br /> <br />Minutes off <br />Date of Meeting: <br />Time of Meeting: <br />Place of Meeting: <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />April 10, 2001 <br />9 a.m. <br />Art Pick Council Chamber, City Hall <br /> <br />WARDS <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Following completion of the Adjourned Regular Meeting, Mayor Loveridge called <br />the City Council meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. <br /> <br />The Invocation was given by Councilmember Moore. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. <br /> <br />PRESENTATIONS <br />Mayor Loveridge and Assistant Police Chief Mike Smith presented Certificates of <br />Appreciation to the following Public Safety Communications Center employees for <br />their recognition by the California Public-Safety Radio Association: Marilyn <br />Cameron, Public Safety Dispatcher of the Year; Kelly Monteleone, Honorable <br />Mention, Public Safety Dispatcher of the Year; and Monique Martinez, Outstanding <br />Fire/EMS Performance of the Year. <br /> <br />Mayor Loveridge presented a Proclamation to Emergency Services Coordinator <br />Carmen Nieves proclaiming the month of April as Earthquake Preparedness Month. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for <br />consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each <br />item. <br /> <br />M1NUTES <br />The Minutes of the Meeting of April 3, 2001, were approved as presented. <br /> <br />PLANN1NG COMMISSION <br /> <br /> ZONING CASE CU-051-001 - 3815 LA SIERRA <br />The City Council upheld the action of the Planning Commission in approving subject <br />to conditions the proposal of Tien Chi Fan for a conditional use permit to establish a <br />convenience store with the sale of alcoholic beverages for off-site consumption <br />within an existing 2,400-square-foot building located at 3815 La Sierra Avenue <br />approximately 125 feet north of Magnolia Avenue on the east side of La Sierra <br />Avenue, in Zone C-2; upheld the Commission's determination that the proposal <br />would not have a significant effect on the environment; concurred in the adoption of <br />the Negative Declaration; and found there is no evidence that the project will have <br />any potential for adverse effect on wildlife resources and the impacts of the project <br />are found to be de minimis pursuant to Section 711.4 of the Fish and Game Code. <br /> <br />CASE EP-016-912 (REVISED) - 2143 CENTURY <br />The City Council upheld the action of the Planning Commission in approving, <br />subject to mitigation measures, the proposal of William Kraisosky of Land <br />Development Consultants, to revise an approved grading plan to raise a previously <br />graded building pad three feet from 1,318 feet to 1,321 feet, for property located at <br /> <br />Present <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />All Ayes <br /> <br />86-308 <br /> <br /> <br />
