INTRODUCED <br />3 P.M.--Hearing was called on the proposal of the City of Riverside to place <br />approximately 7.7 vacant acres at 9531-9597 Rudicill Street, situated at the north- <br />west comer of Van Buren Boulevard and Rudicill Street in Zone MP and remove <br />same from Zone M-I, with the City Council to also consider supplementing the <br />requested zoning with Zone S. The City Planning Commission authorized this <br />rezoning case under the conditional use permit for the new Van Buren Metrolink <br />station. No one was present wishing to speak on the matter. No protests, written or <br />oral, were presented. Following discussion, the public hearing was officially closed. <br />The City Council (1) upheld the action of the Planning Commission in approving <br />Zone MP subject to the recommended conditions; (2) adopted the staff report and <br />environmental assessment as findings; (3) upheld the Planning Commission's <br />determination that the rezoning will not have a significant effect on the environment <br />and concurred in the adoption of a Negative Declaration; (4) found there is no <br />evidence that the proposed project will have any potential for adverse effect on <br />wildlife resources and the impacts of the project are found to be de minimis pursuant <br />to Section 711.4 of the Fish and Game Code; and (5) introduced the appropriate <br />rezoning ordinance. <br /> <br />CASE TP-001-001 - GLACIER/YELLOWSTONE/RAINIER/MT. WHITNEY/ <br />MT. DIABLO/SAN DIEGO/DE ANZA/NELSON/BROCKTON <br />3 P.M.--Hearing was called on the proposal of the City of Riverside to incorporate <br />various traffic pattern modification measures to the following streets: Glacier Drive, <br />Yellowstone Drive, Rainier Court, Mt. Whitney Avenue, Mt. Diablo Avenue, San <br />Diego Avenue, De Anza Avenue, Nelson Street, and Brockton Avenue. Possible <br />street modifications include the installation of speed humps, stop signs, traffic <br />signals, and cul-de-sacs. Three people spoke and two written communications <br />regarding the project were presented and considered. Following discussion, the <br />public hearing was officially closed. The City Council (1) upheld the action of the <br />Planning Commission in approving Case TP-001-001 subject to modifications and <br />recommended conditions; (2) adopted the staff r,eport and environmental assessment <br />as findings; (3) upheld the Planning Commission s determination that the project will <br />not have a significant effect on the environment because mitigation measures are <br />required and concurred in the adoption of a Mitigated Negative Declaration; and <br />(4) found there is no evidence that the proposed project will have any potential for <br />adverse effect on wildlife resources and the impacts of the project are found to be de <br />minimis pursuant to Section 711.4 of the Fish and Game Code. <br /> <br />Present <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />All Ayes <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />All Ayes <br /> <br />86-293 <br /> <br /> <br />
