CITY OF 1 /ERSIDE <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />COUNC~-~MEMBERS <br /> <br />Minutes of: <br />Date of Meeting: <br />Time of Meeting: <br />Place of Meeting: <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />March 20, 2001 <br />9 a.m. <br />Art Pick Council Chamber, City Hall <br /> <br />WARDS <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Mayor Loveridge called the City Council meeting to order at 9:35 a.m. following the <br />Redevelopment Agency meeting. <br /> <br />The Invocation was given by Councilmember Moore. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. <br /> <br />PRESENTATIONS <br />Mayor Loveridge called on Monica Flores, Chair of Latino Network, for presentation <br />of an $800 donation to the Doug Jacobs family. <br /> <br />Mayor Loveridge, assisted by Planning Director Steve Whyld, presented Landmark <br />plaques to B. J. and John Mylne [II for Greystones, 6190 Hawarden Drive, City <br />Landmark No. 42, and to Carla Lidner and Bradley Baum for Raebum, <br />2508 Raeburn Drive, City Landmark No. 31. <br /> <br />Mayor Loveridge presented a Proclamation to Jim Stream, Executive Director for Arc <br />Riverside, proclaiming the month of March 2001 as Mental Retardation Awareness <br />Month. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for <br />consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each <br />item; with Councilmember Moore abstaining from voting on the approval of the <br />March 13,200 l, Minutes because he was absent. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />The Minutes of the Meetings of March 13, 2001, were approved as presented. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER <br /> <br />BID 5797 - WATER SUPERVISORY CONTROL AND DATA ACQUISITION <br />SYSTEM UPGRADE <br />The City Council (1) awarded Bid 5797 to Transdyn Controls, Inc., in the amount of <br />$3,i05,850 for the Water Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) <br />system upgrade to control and monitor water production and distribution; <br />(2) authorized the Public Utilities Director or his designee to issue change orders, if <br />necessary, in an amount not to exceed in total $100,000; and (3) authorized the City <br />Manager or his designee to execute the necessary documents. <br /> <br />HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES FOR PERSONS WITH AIDS PROGRAM - FUNDS <br />TRANSFER <br />The City Council authorized the transfer of (1) $835,170 from Housing Opportunities <br />for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) Contingency Account 2835300-453001 to County <br /> <br />Present <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />All Ayes <br /> <br />Ayes <br />Abstain <br /> <br />86-284 <br /> <br /> <br />
