CITY OF 1 /ERSIDE CITY COUNCIL COUNC~-~MEMBERS Minutes of: Date of Meeting: Time of Meeting: Place of Meeting: Regular Meeting of the City Council March 20, 2001 9 a.m. Art Pick Council Chamber, City Hall WARDS Roll Call: Mayor Loveridge called the City Council meeting to order at 9:35 a.m. following the Redevelopment Agency meeting. The Invocation was given by Councilmember Moore. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. PRESENTATIONS Mayor Loveridge called on Monica Flores, Chair of Latino Network, for presentation of an $800 donation to the Doug Jacobs family. Mayor Loveridge, assisted by Planning Director Steve Whyld, presented Landmark plaques to B. J. and John Mylne [II for Greystones, 6190 Hawarden Drive, City Landmark No. 42, and to Carla Lidner and Bradley Baum for Raebum, 2508 Raeburn Drive, City Landmark No. 31. Mayor Loveridge presented a Proclamation to Jim Stream, Executive Director for Arc Riverside, proclaiming the month of March 2001 as Mental Retardation Awareness Month. CONSENT CALENDAR The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each item; with Councilmember Moore abstaining from voting on the approval of the March 13,200 l, Minutes because he was absent. MINUTES The Minutes of the Meetings of March 13, 2001, were approved as presented. CITY MANAGER BID 5797 - WATER SUPERVISORY CONTROL AND DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEM UPGRADE The City Council (1) awarded Bid 5797 to Transdyn Controls, Inc., in the amount of $3,i05,850 for the Water Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system upgrade to control and monitor water production and distribution; (2) authorized the Public Utilities Director or his designee to issue change orders, if necessary, in an amount not to exceed in total $100,000; and (3) authorized the City Manager or his designee to execute the necessary documents. HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES FOR PERSONS WITH AIDS PROGRAM - FUNDS TRANSFER The City Council authorized the transfer of (1) $835,170 from Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) Contingency Account 2835300-453001 to County Present Motion Second All Ayes Ayes Abstain 86-284
