CITY OF 1 /ERSIDE <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />COUNC.~MEMBERS <br /> <br />Minutes of: <br />Date of Meeting: <br />Time of Meeting: <br />Place of Meeting: <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />March 13, 2001 <br />9 a.m. <br />Art Pick Council Chamber, City Hall <br /> <br />WARDS <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Following completion of the Adjourned Regular Meeting, Mayor Loveridge called <br />the City Council meeting to order at 9:20 a.m. <br /> <br />The Invocation was given by Councilmember Defenbaugh. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. <br /> <br />PRESENTATIONS <br />Mayor Loveridge presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Police Detective Steve <br />Shumway, Public Safety Officer for the month of March 2001, who was honored by <br />the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce at Good Morning Riverside. <br /> <br />Mayor Loveridge presented a Proclamation to Jacqueline McNulty, American Cancer <br />Society, proclaiming the month of March 2001 as Daffodil Days. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for <br />consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each <br />item. <br /> <br />M1NUTES <br />The Minutes of the Meeting of March 6, 2001, were approved as presented. <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />ZONING CASE CU-031-901 (REVISED) - 4269 AND 4279 VAN BUREN <br />The City Council upheld the action of the Planning Commission in approving subject <br />to conditions the proposal of KCT Consultants on behalf of Grace Community <br />Church for a revised conditional use permit for the construction of a parking lot on <br />two adjoining vacant parcels located at 4269 and 4279 Van Buren Boulevard, <br />situated northwesterly of the existing church site approximately 422 feet from the <br />northwesterly corner of Van Buren Boulevard and California Avenue, in Zone R-1- <br />65; upheld the Commission's determination that the proposal would not have a <br />significant effect on the environment; concurred in the adoption of the Mitigated <br />Negative Declaration; and found there is no evidence that the project will have any <br />potential for adverse effect on wildlife resources and the impacts of the project are <br />found to be de minimis pursuant to Section 711.4 of the Fish and Game Code. <br /> <br />ZONING CASE CU-047-001 - 8994 TRAUTWEIN <br />The City Council upheld the action of the Planning Commission in approving subject <br />to conditions the proposal of A1 Aguirre on behalf of Jeffrey Darrow for a conditional <br />use permit to establish an automobile service facility (tires, batteries, and accessories) <br />on approximately 1.83 vacant acres at 8994 Trautwein Road, situated on the east side <br />of Trautwein Road approximately 700 feet north of Van Buren Boulevard, in Zone <br />C-2-SP; upheld the Commission's determination that the proposal would not have a <br /> <br />Present <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />All Ayes <br /> <br />86-278 <br /> <br /> <br />
