CITY OF ,/ERSIDE CITY COUNCIL COUNCILMEMBERS Minutes of: Date of Meeting: Time of Meeting: Place of Meeting: Regular Meeting of the City Council February 13, 2001 9 a.m. Art Pick Council Chamber, City Hall WARDS Roll Call: Following completion of the Adjourned Regular Meeting Mayor Loveridge called the meeting to order at 9:10 a.m. The Invocation was given by Councilmember Moore. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. PRESENTATIONS Mayor Loveridge presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Police Officer Lavall Nelson, Public Safety Officer for the month of February 2001, who was honored by the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce at Good Morning Riverside. Mayor Loveridge called on Aja d'Encamacao, Site Supervisor for Riverside County Office of Education's Collett and Arlanza Head Start Programs, for presentations to the Mayor and City Council in appreciation of their continued support. CONSENT CALENDAR The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each item; with Councilmembers Beaty and Defenbaugh abstaining from voting on approval of the February 6, 2001, Minutes because they were absent. MINUTES The Minutes of the Meetings of January 26, February 1, and February 6, 2001, were approved as presented. CITY MANAGER BID 5801 - REID PARK POOL SHADE STRUCTURE PROJECT - SUPPL. APPROPRIATION The City Council (1) appropriated $35,000 from the Facilities Improvement Fund (290 Fund) to Reid Park Pool Shade Structure Project Account 9214151203- 44030100; (2) awarded Bid 5801 to LTG Construction in the amount of $36,920 for Base Bid Item I-B and Additive Bid Item II-A (Project Accounts 9214100611- '44012009-598923 and 921415120344030100) for the Reid Park pool shade structure; and (3) authorized the preparation of the appropriate contract documents for execution by the City Manager or his designee. CIVIC CENTER ANNUAL LEASE PAYMENT - CIVIC CENTER AUTHORITY The City Council requested the Civic Center Authority to approve and the Trustee of the Authority to apply $110,000 of surplus funds as a portion of the City's annual lease payment for the Civic Center. CASE VC-003-001 - PORTION OF MOTOR CIRCLE - RESOLUTION The City Council (1) approved the request of the City of Riverside's Real Property Present Motion Second Ail Ayes Ayes Abstain in part 86-235
