MEMBERS <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />Minutes of: <br />Date of Meeting: <br />Time of Meeting: <br />Place of Meeting: <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />February 6, 2001 <br />9 a.m. <br />Art Pick Council Chamber, City Hall <br /> <br />WARDS <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />The Invocation was given by Councilmember Thompson. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br />Mayor Loveridge, assisted by Business Development Manager Tom Pevehouse, <br />recognized Renae Dahlquist as the first recipient of the Riverside Public Utilities <br />Energy Technology Endowed Scholarship at Riverside Community College (RCC). <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for <br />consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each <br />item; with Condition No. 32 relative to Zoning Case MP-005-001 amended to read: <br />"Improvement of Northgate Street will be subject to the specifications of the Public <br />Works Department." <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />The Minutes of the Meetings of January 23, 2001, were approved as presented. <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />ZONING CASE CU-042-001 - 3502 TYLER <br />The City Council upheld the action of the Planning Commission in approving subject <br />to conditions the proposal of Lee and Sakahara Architects on behalf of Tweeter <br />Home Entertainment Group for a conditional use permit for car audio installation at a <br />proposed electronics store occupying approximately 11,000 square feet of an existing <br />15,000-square-foot building on approximately .56 acre at 3502 Tyler Street, in Zone <br />C-2; upheld the Commission's determination that the proposal would not have a <br />significant effect on the environment; concurred in the adoption of the Mitigated <br />Negative Declaration; and found there is no evidence that the project will have any <br />potential for adverse effect on wildlife resources and the impacts of the project are <br />found to be de minimis pursuant to Section 711.4 of the Fish and Game Code. <br /> <br />ZONING CASE MP-005-001 - PALMYRITA/NORTHGATE <br />The City Council upheld the action of the Planning Commission in approving with <br />modifications and subject to conditions the request of RKZ, Inc., on behalf of Sabert <br />Corporation, for review of an industrial site plan to construct a new 325,375-square- <br />foot manufacturing/warehouse/office facility in three phases of construction on <br />approximately 18.33 vacant acres, situated on the southeast comer of Palmyrita <br />Avenue and Northgate Street, in Zone MP-SP; upheld the Commission's <br />determination that the proposal would not have a significant effect on the <br />environment; concurred in the adoption of the Negative Declaration; and found the <br />proposed project could have the potential for adverse effects on wildlife resources <br />and the applicant is responsible for payment of Fish and Game fees at the time the <br />Notice of Determination is filed with the County. <br /> <br />Present <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />All Ayes <br /> <br />86-224 <br /> <br /> <br />
