CITY OF R rERSIDE <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />COUNC..~MEMBERS <br /> <br />Minutes off <br />Date of Meeting: <br />Time of Meeting: <br />Place of Meeting: <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />February 1, 2001 <br />9:20 a.m. <br />Art Pick Council Chamber, City Hall <br /> <br />WARDS <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Mayor Loveridge called the City Council meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. and <br />announced that this is the time scheduled for the City Council to conduct interviews <br />for Board and Commission vacancies. <br /> <br />BOARD AND COMMISSION INTERVIEWS <br /> <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES <br />Following interviews with Larry Vermilyea, Joe Tavaglione, and Deanna L. Gipson- <br />Jimenez, the Mayor and City Council appointed Deanna L. Gipson-Jimenez and Joe <br />Tavaglione for four-year terms expiring March 1, 2005, to the Board of Public <br />Utilities. <br /> <br />PLANN1NG COMMISSION <br />lan J. Davidson, Christian E. Singletary, and Finn L. Comer were interviewed for the <br />Planning Commission. <br /> <br />RECESS <br />The Mayor and City Council recessed at 12:10 p.m. for lunch and reconvened at <br />1 p.m. with all Councilmembers present except Councilmembers Beaty and Pearson. <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION - CONTINUED <br />Following further interviews with Patricia Lock-Dawson, Harriett Bloom, and Roy <br />Hord for the Planning Commission, and without formal motion, the Mayor and City <br />Council continued consideration of the Planning Commission vacancies to Tuesday, <br />February 13,2001. <br /> <br />Councilmember Thompson was excused during the following interviews. <br /> <br />MUNICIPAL MUSEUM BOARD <br />Following interviews with Roy Hord, Eva C. Elliff; and Juliana B.Y. Leung, the <br />Mayor and City Council appointed Juliana B.Y. Leung to a four-year term ending <br />March 1, 2005, to the Municipal Museum Board. <br /> <br />Mayor Loveridge excused himself at this time and Councilmember Moore presided. <br /> <br />PARKING, TRAFFIC AND STREETS COMMISSION <br />Following interviews with Scott R. Hildebrandt, Paul T. Dunlap, Arthur J. Mallette, <br />and Paulette N. Sandler, and vote by paper ballot, the City Council appointed Scott <br />R.
