Police Chief Leach, Lieutenant Alex <br />Tortes, Deputy Chief Audrey Wilson, Mayor Loveridge, and thc City Council spoke <br />regarding Detective Jacobs. Pastor Ray Wade of Eden Lutheran Church asked for a <br />moment of silence in memory of Detective Doug Jacobs and closed in prayer. <br /> <br />PRESENTATIONS - CONTINUED <br />The presentation of Certificates of Appreciation to Magnolia and Sunrise Rotary <br />Clubs for their recent donation toward the purchase of Forward Looking lnfra Red <br />(FLIR) systems was continued. <br /> <br />The presentation of a Certificate of Appreciation to Fire Department Public <br />Education Specialist Gale Schulte, Public Safety Officer for the month of January <br />2001, was continued. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The following iteins, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for <br />consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each <br />item. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />The Minutes of the Meetings of January 9, 200 l, were approved as presented. <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />ZONING CASE CI 1-021-001 - VAN BUREN/RUDICILL/1NDIANA <br />The City Council upheld the action of the Planning Commission in approving subject <br />to conditions the proposal of Peter Pountney on behalf of the Riverside County <br />Transportation Commission (RCTC) for a conditional use permit to establish the Van <br />Buren Metrolink Station on approximately 8.47 vacant acres, situated on the <br />northwest comer of Van Buren Boulevard and Rudicill Street and the southwest <br />comer of Indiana Avenue and Van Buren Boulevard, in Zone MP; upheld the <br />Commission's determination that the proposal would not have a significant effect on <br />the environment; concurred in the adoption of the Negative Declaration; and found <br />there is no evidence that the project will have any potential for adverse effect on <br />wildlife resources and the impacts of the project are found to be de minimis pursuant <br />to Section 711.4 of the Fish and Game Code. <br /> <br />ZONING CASE CU-021-967 (REVISED) - 7474 INDIANA <br />The City Council upheld the action of the Planning Commission in approving subject <br />to conditions the proposal of Kerr Project Services on behalf of McDonald's for a <br />conditional use permit to amend the site plan to incorporate a dual-drive-thru lane at <br /> <br />Present <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />All Ayes <br /> <br />86-205 <br /> <br /> <br />
