CITY OF R 'ERSIDE <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />COUNC.~MEMBERS <br /> <br />Minutes off <br />Date of Meeting: <br />Time of Meeting: <br />Place of Meeting: <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />January 9, 2001 <br />9 a.m. <br />Art Pick Council Chamber, City Hall <br /> <br />WARDS <br /> <br />Roll Calk <br /> <br />Following completion of the Adjourned Regular Meeting, the City Council meeting <br />was called to order at 9:15 a.m. <br /> <br />The Invocation was given by Councilmember Defenbaugh. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance ;vas given to the Flag. <br /> <br />PRESENTATIONS <br />Mayor Loveridge, assisted by Human Resources Director Judith Griffith, recognized <br />members of the Healthy Cities Task Force for their dedication to the Healthy Cities <br />project. <br /> <br />Mayor Loveridge called on Riverside Unified School District Superintendent <br />Dr. Susan Rainey, Dale Kinnear, and others who reported on North High School's <br />trip to China. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for <br />consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each <br />item. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />The Minutes of the Meeting of January 2,2001, were approved as presented. <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />ZONING CASE OZ-001-856 (REVISED) - 4015 JACKSON <br />The City Council upheld the action of the Planning Commission in approving subject <br />to conditions the request of the City of Riverside Park and Recreation Department for <br />revie~v of a revised plot plan to construct a new skateboard facility to be located <br />within Hunt Park at 4015 Jackson Street, generally bounded by Jackson Street, <br />Sherman Drive, and Garfield Street, in Zone O. The facility is adjacent to the <br />~ntersection of Jackson and Garfield Streets and is intended for day use only. The <br />City Council upheld the Planning Commission's determination that the proposal <br />would not have a significant effect on the environment; concurred in the adoption of <br />a Negative Declaration; and found there is no evidence that the project will have any <br />potential for adverse effect on wildlife resources and the impacts of the project are <br />found to be de minimis pursuant to Section 711.4 of the Fish and Game Code. <br /> <br />CULTURALHERITAGEBOARD <br /> <br />CASE HD-002-001 - 2879 MAIN - RESOLUTION <br />The City Council upheld the action of the Cultural Heritage Board in approving the <br />request of Ralond and Ruby Troncin to designate the 1923 Salt Lake Transfer and <br />Storage Company building at 2879 Main Street, situated on the northwesterly side of <br /> <br />Present <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />All Ayes <br /> <br />86-197 <br /> <br /> <br />
