The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. OATH OF OFFICE Assistant City Manager Larry Paulsen introduced newly appointed Finance Director Paul Sundeen and City Clerk Colleen Nicol administered the Oath of Office. MAYOR PRO TEMPORE Mayor Loveridge presented a plaque to Councilmember Moore for his dedicated service as Mayor Pro Tempore from June 30 through December 31,2000. The City Council appointed Councilmember Beaty as Mayor Pro Tempore for January I through June 30, 2001. CONSENT CALENDAR The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each item. MINUTES The Minutes of the Meeting of December 19, 2000, were approved as presented. PLANNING COMMISSION ZONING CASE OZ-002-00 l - PLACENTIA/SIECK The City Council upheld the action of the Planning Commission in approving subject to conditions and modifications the proposal of the City of Riverside Public Utilities Department tbr a plot plan to establish a temporary ground water filtration plant in conjunction with an existing City well consisting of six tanks (approximately 10 feet in diameter by 18 feet high), two backwash tanks (approximately 12 feet in diameter and 16 feet high) or filter bags, and two small pumps (50 GPM) with interconnecting pipes and valves within a 35 by 70-foot area situated southwesterly of the comer of Placentia Lane and Sieck Road, in Zone O. CITY MANAGER JOINT ITEM WITH REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY CITY AND REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY TREASURER DESIGNATION The City Council confirmed the designation of Paul Sundeen as the City Treasurer.
