This system
includes 2,210 metal streetlight poles throughout the city that are in need of repainting due to age and
deterioration. The light poles are approximately 50 years old. The work entails repainting the aluminum
poles to their original black color and is necessary to prevent corrosion, preserve their remaining life and
maintain aesthetics.
