CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />Minutes of: <br />Date of Meeting: <br />Time of Meeting: <br />Place of Meeting: <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />January 18, 2000 <br />9 a.m. <br />Council Chamber, City Hall <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Mayor Loveridge called the City Council meeting to order at 9:45 a.m. <br /> <br />Councilmember Defenbaugh announced that City Clerk Colleen Nicol's daughter, <br />Heather, was involved in a serious car accident on Monday, January 17, 2000, and <br />requested they be remembered in thoughts and prayers. <br /> <br />The Invocation was given by Councilmember Defenbaugh. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. <br /> <br />Mayor Loveridge congratulated Ed Adkison on his successful election as <br />Councilmember for Ward 5. <br /> <br />PRESENTATIONS <br />Mayor Loveridge presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Firefighter Marc <br />Andrews, Public Safety Officer for the month of January 2000, who was honored by <br />the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce at Good Morning Riverside. <br /> <br />Following presentation of the Healthy Cities Task Force recommendations, the City <br />Council adopted in concept the oral report as presented, and approved the <br />development and submittal of the application to become a Califomia Healthy City <br />and community. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for <br />consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each <br />item. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />The Minutes of the Meetings of January 11, 2000, were approved as presented. <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />ZONING CASE CU-025-990 - 5366 LA SIERRA <br />The City Council upheld the action of the Planning Commission in approving, <br />subject to conditions, the proposal of Maria Teresa Datuin on behalf of La Cadena <br />Manor for a conditional use permit to increase the maximum number of adults from 6 <br />to 14 permitted at a board and care residential facility at 5366 La Sierra Avenue, <br />situated on the westerly side of La Sierra Avenue, approximately 350 feet northerly <br />of Gramercy Place, in Zone R-1o65; upheld the Commission's determination that the <br />proposal would not have a significant effect on the environment; concurred in the <br />adoption of the Negative Declaration; and found there is no evidence that the project <br />will have any potential for adverse effect on wildlife resources and the impacts of the <br />project are found to be de minimis pursuant to Section 711.4 of the Fish and Game <br />Code. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> <br />BMDKCTP <br />EOEALHE <br />AOFNIOA <br />TREEFMR <br />YEN FPS <br />B OSO <br />A RON <br />U D N <br />G <br />H <br /> <br />WARDS <br /> <br />I 2 3 4 5 6 7 <br /> <br />Present <br /> <br />XXXXXXX <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />All Ayes <br /> <br />X <br /> <br />X <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />All Ayes <br /> <br /> X <br />X <br /> <br />85-202 <br /> <br /> <br />
