CITY OF RIVERSIDE CITY COUNCIL Minutes of: Date of Meeting: Time of Meeting: Place of Meeting: Regular Meeting of the City Council January 11, 2000 9 a.m. Council Chamber, City Hall Roll Call: Mayor Loveridge called the City Council meeting to order at 9:10 a.m. following completion of the Adjourned Regular Meeting. The Invocation was given by Councilmember Moore. The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. PRESENTATIONS Mayor Loveridge and Fire Chief Dave Carlson presented Certificates of Appreciation to Ben Clifford and John McMahon for their heroic effects during a recent fire. Mayor Loveridge presented a Proclamation to a representative of the Riverside African American Historical Society and the Riverside Martin Luther King, Jr., Monument Visionaries Foundation, proclaiming Monday, January 17, 2000, as Martin Luther King, Jr., 7th Annual Walk-A-Thon Day. CONSENT CALENDAR The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each item. MINUTES The Minutes of the Meetings of December 28, 1999, and January 4, 2000, were approved as presented. CITY MANAGER BID 5686 - TYLER AND CYPRESS INTERSECTION WIDENING The City Council (1) awarded Bid 5686 to DBX, Inc., in the amount of $521,342.50 for Tyler Street and Cypress Avenue intersection widening; and (2) authorized the preparation of appropriate contract documents for execution by the City Manager or his designee. SIXTH AMENDMENT TO LEASE AGREEMENT - MISSION GROVE PLAZA The City Council (1) approved the continued leasing of space for the Police Department storefront at 321 East Alessandro Boulevard, Suite 2A.2, in the Mission Grove Plaza, as outlined in the written staff report; and (2) authorized the City Manager or his designee to execute the Sixth Amendment to Lease Agreement with Mission Grove Plaza, L.P.
