The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. MINUTES The Minutes of the Meetings of October 12, 1999, were approved as presented. DEDICATION An oil painting of Staff Sergeant Ysmael Villegas, Riverside's Congressional Medal of Honor recipient and the first veteran interred at Riverside National Cemetery, was rededicated and unveiled. PRESENTATIONS Mayor Loveridge presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Fire Captain Thomas Jay, Public Safety Officer for the month of October 1999. Mayor Loveridge presented a Proclamation to Roy Hord, Chairman of the Riverside Says No To Drugs Committee, and Project RAD Coordinators Linda Fujii, Alvord Unified School District, and David Lee, Riverside Unified School District, proclaiming the week of October 23-29, 1999, as Red Ribbon Week. MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL Following discussion, the City Council excused Councilmember Moore's absences of October 5, 12, and 19, and until he recovers from surgery. CONSENT CALENDAR The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each item. CITY MANAGER MUTUAL TERMINATION AGREEMENT - ADVENTISTS MUTUAL BENEFITS ASSOCIATION OF RIVERSIDE - 11072 HOLE The City Council authorized the City Manager or his designee to execute the Mutual Termination Agreement with the Adventists Mutual Benefits Association of Riverside to be effective October 23, 1999, for termination of the Lease Agreement at 11072 Hole Avenue.
