Minutes of: <br />Date of Meeting: <br />Time of Meeting: <br />Place of Meeting: <br /> <br />RollCall: <br /> <br />CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br />CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />October 5, 1999 <br />9 a.m. <br />Council Chamber, City Hall <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> <br />BMDKCTP <br />E OE AL H E <br />AOF NI OA <br />T RE E F MR <br />Y E N F P S <br />B O S O <br /> A RON <br /> U D N <br /> G <br /> H <br /> <br />WARDS <br /> <br />I 2 3 4 5 6 7 <br /> <br />Present <br /> <br />XAXXXXX <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. <br /> <br />COMMENTS <br />The Mayor and City Council reflected on the events of October 6, 1998. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br />Mayor Loveridge called upon City Manager John Holmes to present a Team Award <br />for Excellence to the Public Utilities Department, Power Resources Division, in <br />recognition and appreciation of their outstanding performance and teamwork. <br /> <br />Councilmember Clifford left the dais at this time. <br /> <br />A <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for <br />consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each <br />item; with the item regarding the petition to the Federal Communications <br />Commission pulled from the agenda to allow for further staff review. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER <br /> <br />BID 5664 - MADISON STREET LANDSCAPE IMPROVEMENTS - LINCOLN <br />TO EVANS <br />The City Council (1) awarded Bid 5664 to Mariposa Horticulture Enterprises, Inc., in <br />the amount of $168,655 (Project Account 9726300885-44044600) for Madison <br />Street Landscape Improvements from Lincoln Avenue to Evans Street; and <br />(2) authorized the preparation of appropriate contract documents for execution by the <br />City Manager or his designee. <br /> <br />LOCAL HISTORY RESOURCE CENTER - GRANT APPLICATION - SUPPL. <br />APPROPRIATION <br />The City Council (1) approved the submittal of a second-year grant application to the <br />State Library for Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) funds to operate the <br />Riverside Local History Resource Center CRLHRC) through September 30, 2000; <br />(2) authorized the City Manager or his designee to execute all necessary documents; <br />(3) authorized the Library Director to fill the two grant-funded Management Intern <br />positions; and (4) authorized the $228,899 increase in estimated revenue and the <br />increase in the appropriation budget by the same amount to the proper expenditure <br />accounts upon notification of grant award. <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />All Ayes <br /> <br /> X <br />X <br /> <br />85-99 <br /> <br /> <br />
