Second ~X~ <br /> All Ayes <br /> <br /> Mayor Brown called upon Jim Richardson of ths Press Enterprise, who introduced Scott <br /> Zonder, his replacement as City Hall Press reporter, and the City Council expressed <br /> its appreciation to Mr. Richardson for the time he served as the City Hall reporter. <br /> <br /> PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL AT 3:00 P.M. <br /> <br /> FURTHER HEARING - CASE PS-64-801 - NORTHWEST CORNER LINDENAND CANYON CREST -APPEAL - <br /> CONTINUED <br />3:00 P.M.--Further hearing was called on the appeal of William W. Hirsch, Lincoln <br />[Property Company N.C., Inc., from the decision of the Growth Management Administrator <br />'in denying their request for a Residential Development Permit for the proposed develop- <br />~ment of approximately nine acres of land with 200 apartment units situated on the <br />~northwest corner of Linden Street and Canyon Crest Drive, Case PS-64-801. On August 4, <br />~1981, the City Council referred to the City Council Economic Development Committee the <br />'re uest <br />e q of Ernest Webb that the City Council consider allocating sewer connections for <br />: p ent construction only, and continued the hearing. A written report was submitted <br /> a artm <br />| <br />,from Chairman Digati of the Economic Development Committee recommending that the City <br />: ncil take no action at this time to change the current categories for allocating Motion ~X~ <br />Cou <br />$sewer connections. In consideration of a request from Mr. Webb, the hearing was Second !X! <br />~further continued to January 26, 1982, at 3 p.m. A~ll Ayes <br />| <br /> <br />,CONSIDERATION OF MATTERS NOT ON THE PRINTED AGENDA <br /> <br />~CASE DR-11-745 - ROYAL ROSE (ROSE GARDEN VILLAGE) - 3668 AND 3720 ADAMS STREET - <br />~MODIFICATION OF CONDITIONS <br />~The Reverend Bert Turner appeared requesting the City Council to modify the conditions <br />~of the Design Review Board of their meeting of October 14, 1981, relative to sign plans <br />for an existing residential development for the elderly, under Case DR-11-745, relating <br />|to Condition 6 which provides for non-backlighted signs and Condition 7 which provides <br />that the address and names of the founders shall be removed from the small pole sign. <br />The Planning Director reviewed the case and presented renderings of the proposed signs. <br />Following discussion, the City Council waived the period of appeal and approved dele- Motio~ ~X~ <br />tion of Design Review Board Conditions 6 and 7, as requested; with the understanding Second ~X~ <br />that =he names of the founders shall be allowed on the larger sign. All Ayes <br /> <br /> VIVIAN'S CAFE <br /> Councilman Loveridge invited his colleagues and their friends to attend a wine-tasting <br /> event to benefit Vivian's Cafe on November 4, 1981, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. <br /> <br /> CLOSED SESSION <br />'The Mayor and Members of the City Council recessed to the Conference Room adjoining the <br />~Council Chamber for a closed session to discuss pending litigation and claims. <br /> <br />[Following the closed session, Mayor Brown excused himself and Mayor Pro Tempore Frizzel <br />assumed the Chair and presided; and the City Council proceeded with the following <br />interviews in the Conference Room adjoining the Council Chamber. <br /> <br />67-170 <br /> <br /> <br />
