<br />The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Dick Kanode representing the
<br />,RIverside Chamber of Commerce and Tom Clemons representing the La Sierra Chamber of
<br />~ Comm rce.

<br />~Mayor Brown introduced Riverside County Supervisor Norton Younglove who, as a
<br />,representative from the Board of Commuter Computer, presented the City of Riverside
<br />,with a Certificate in recognition of the City's high percentage of employees registered
<br />,in the emergency program of Commuter Computer.
<br />
<br />Mayor Brown then presented a Proclamation to the Board of Commuter Computer,
<br />~proclaiming Tuesday, October 6, 1981, as Share-A-Ride-Day in the City of Riverside.

<br /> CONSENT CALENDAR
<br /> The following items were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to
<br /> those items listed on the Consent Calendar and as submitted to the City Council for
<br /> consideration, with the following exceptions: consideration of the request for time
<br /> extension on Case PS-39-789 (Tract 8510-2) was continued to November 10, 1981; and
<br /> Zoning Case C-53-767 (Revised), the application for State funds for extension of
<br /> Runway 34/16 at the Riverside Municipal Airport, the report relative to the tentative
<br /> solid waste disposal timetable, and the recommended emergency ordinance adoption Motion ~X~
<br /> relating to speed zone revisions on portions of Myrtle Avenue, Ivy Street and Panorama Second ~X:
<br /> Road were all removed to the Discussion Calendar. All Ayes

<br /> ZONING CASE C-21-723 (REVISED) - HURLBUTAMUSEMENT COMPANY, INC. - 3500 POLK STREET
<br />A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on
<br />;August 20, 1981, the Commission, by a vote of 7 ayes to 0 noes, performed the one-year
<br />~review to determine the adequacy of the parking provided by the request of Hurlbut
<br />~Amusement Company, Inc., Zoning Case C-21-723 (Revised), to expand an existing amuse-
<br />,ment center at 3500 Polk Street, situated on the west corner of Polk Street and Diana
<br />IAv ,
<br />, enue in Zone R-1-65. The Commission approved the review of the conditional use
<br />,permit subject to the condition that parking shall be reviewed again in six months at
<br />.a public hearing before the City Planning Commission. It was determined that the City
<br /> Co zl would not set the matter for public hearing.

<br />~ZONING CASE C-15-801 (REVISED) - R. E. POND - PIERCE AT COLLETT
<br />:A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on
<br />~August 6, 1981, the Commission, by a vote of 6 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to
<br />,conditions the proposal of R. E. Pond, Zoning Case C-15-801 (Revised), for a revised
<br />,conditional use permit to establish, operate and maintain a 50-space condominium
<br />,mobile home park and recreational facilities on approximately 9.7 acres of undeveloped
<br />,land, situated on the southwesterly side of Pierce Street opposite Collett Avenue, in
<br />,Zone R-1-65 and Zone RA; and determined that the proposal would not have a significant
<br />,adverse environmental effect. It was determined that the City Council would not set
<br />,the matter for public hearing.
