<br />! CONSENT CALENDAR
<br />The following items were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to
<br />those items listed on the Consent Caler~ar and as submitted to the City Council for
<br />consideration with the exception of Zoning Case C-6-734 (Revised), Bid No. 3311
<br />regarding annual requirements for chlorine and pool chemicals, park design services
<br />for 1981-82 HCD projects, and the report relative to hazardous sidewalk adjacent to
<br />5999 Shaker Drive, all of which were removed to the Discussion Calendar; and with Motion
<br />Councilman Shepard voting "no" on the resolution granting a rate increase for Riverside Second ~X~
<br />Cable TV, Inc. All Ayes

<br />'A communication was presented from =he City Planning Commission advising that, on
<br />~July 23, 1981, the Commission, by a vote of 9 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to
<br />~conditions the request of Jim Oster (Cooper-Burkhart House, Inc.), Zoning Case
<br />~COV-I-812, for a conditional occupancy variance to permit a dwelling to be occupied
<br />~ ~th an institutional use (elderly day care) which does not meet the current building
<br />~ d standards as required by the Municipal Code on property situated on the south

<br />s de of Rubidoux Avenue westerly of Brockton Avenue, located at 4162 Rubidoux Avenue,

<br />,july 23, 1981, the Commission, by a vote of 9 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to
<br />.conditions the request of Jim Oster (Cooper-Burkhart House, Inc.), Zoning Case C-27-590
<br />(Revised), for a revised conditional use permit to convert an existing parsonage to a
<br />day care facility for approximately 16 elderly ambulatory and non-ambulatory persons
<br />on property situated on the south side of Rubidoux Avenue westerly of Brockton Avenue,
<br />located at 4162 Rubidoux Avenue, in Zone R-1-65; and determined that the proposal
<br />would not have a significant adverse enviromnennal effect. It was determined that the
<br />City Council would not set the matter for public hearing.

<br /> BOARD OF ZONING ADJUSTMENT

<br />ZONING CASE V-19-812 - HUTTON ASSOCIATES - NORTHEAST CORNER ATLANTA AND SPRUCE - DENIED
<br />A communication was presented from the Board of Zoning Adjustment advising that, on
<br />~August 3, 1981, the Board, by a vote of 5 ayes to 3 noes, denied the request of Mutton
<br />Associates, Zoning Case V-19-812, for a variance to erect four freestanding monument
<br />identification signs 36 square feet per display face, 3 feet in height, to identify an
<br />industrial park and two tenants where one 25-foot-high, 150-square-foot freestanding
<br />~sign is permitted, on property located on the northeast corner of Atlanta Avenue and
<br />~S~ruce Street, in Zone MP. It was determined that the City Council would not set the
<br />matter for public hearing, and the variance stands denied.
