The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Frank Remski representing the Riverside Chamber of Commerce and M~nny Armendarez representing the Arlington Chamber of Commerce. CONSENT CALENDAR The following items were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to those items listed on the Consent Calendar and as submitted to the City Council for consideration with the exception of time extension for Case PS-89-789 (Parcel Map 4787), completion of Santa Aria River Bikeway, recruitment of Public Utilities Assistant Director, and additional members for Energy Ordinance Advisory Committee, all of which were removed to the Discussion Calendar; and with Councilmembers Shepard, Buster and Frizzel voting "no" on adoption of the ordinance regarding Utility Users Tax. CITY PLANNING COMMISSION ZONING CASE C-30-656 (REVISED) - CALVARY CHAPEL - 6115-83 ARLINGTON AVEhUE ;A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on June 18, 1981, the Commission, by a vote of 5 ayes to 1 no, approved subject to condi- tions the request of Calvary Chapel, Zoning Case C-30-656 (Revised), for a revised conditional use permit to retain eight temporary classrooms within commercial coaches ,an additional five to seven years and to delete a required wall adjacent to ~residentially-zoned property at 6115-83 Arlington Avenue, situated on the north side ~of Arlington Avenue easterly of Neil Street, in Zone R-1-65; and determined that the ~proposal would not have a significant adverse environmental effect. It was determined , ,that the City Council would not set the matter for review. .ZONING CASE C-17-678 (REVISED) - ST. THOMAS CHURCH - 9136 MAGNOLIA AVENUE A communication was presented from =he City Planning Commission advising that, on ,June 18, 1981, =he Commission, by a vote of 5 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject ~o ,c0ndi~ions =he request of St. Thomas Church, Zoning Case C-17-678 (Revised), for a revised conditional use permit to construct a classroom building addition to an exist- ing church and classroom facility at 9136 Magnolia Avenue, situated on the south corner of Magnolia Avenue and Jackson SZreet, in Zones C-2 and R-1-65; and determined that the proposal would not have a significant adverse environmental effect. It was determined [hat the Ci=y Council would not set the matter for review. BOARD OF ZONING ADJUSTMENT ZONING CASE V-197-801 - C.W.T. DEVELOPMENT, INC. - 4164 BROCKTON AVENUE A communication was presented from the Board of Zoning Adjustment advising that, on June 15, 1981, the Board, by a vote of 6 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to conditions ]the reques: of C.W.T. Development, Inc., Zoning Case V-197-801, for a variance to ~construct a balcony and building addition to an office building under construction ~which will encroach 8 feet into the required 15-foot front yard setback at ~164 Brockton Avenue, in Zones RO-D; and determined that the proposal would not have a [significant adverse environmental effect.
