<br /> the La Sierra Chamber of Commerce.

<br />CONSENT CALENDAR
<br />:The following i~ems were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to
<br />~those items listed on the Consent Calendar and as submitted to the City Council for
<br />~consideration with the exception of completion of weed abatement work along the River-
<br />~side Canal right-of-way and proposed amendments of private refuse contracts, both of
<br />~which were removed to the Discussion Calendar; and with Councilman Shepard voting "no" Motion ~X~
<br />~on the continuance of presentation of a report relative to possible reapportionment of Second 2X~
<br />iCity Council diszricts. All Ayes

<br />:A communication was presented from the City Planning Cou~ission advising that, on
<br />~May 21, 1981, the Commission, by a vote of 6 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to
<br />conditions the proposal of the Robert P. Warmington Company, Tract Map 14540, to
<br />~divide approximately 87 acres of steeply-rolling vacant land into 36 residential lots
<br />situated on the north side of Central Avenue and the south side of Box Springs Boule-
<br />~vard, westerly of Highway 60 (15E), surrounding the Sheriff's Training Academy, in
<br />,Zone RC; and determined that the proposal would not have a significant adverse
<br />~environmental effect. It was determined that the City Council would not set the
<br />,matter for public hearing.

<br /> ,A cc~mnunication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on
<br />,May 21, 1981, the Commission, by a vote of 6 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to
<br />conditions the proposed revised conditional use permit of the Southeastern California
<br />Association of Seventh Day Ax]ventists, Zoning Case C-18-701 (Revised), to add a new
<br />sanc~uar7 to the existing church faclli~y and ~o revise ~he sl~e developmen~ accordln~
<br />on property situated on :he east side of La Sierra Avenue southeasterly of CTpress
<br />Avenue, located at 5885 La Sierra Avenue, in Zones R-1-65-RL; and determined that the
<br />;proposal would not have a si~nificann adverse environmental effect. It was determined
<br />~=hat the City Council would not set the matter for public hearing.

<br /> {A cou~nunication was presented advising that, on May 18, 1981, the Board, by a vote of
<br /> {7 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to conditions the proposed variance of the Press
<br /> ~Enterprise Co., Zoning Case V-175-801, to provide a substandard landscaped stree~ side
<br /> {setbac~ ranging from approximately 0 to 10 feet in depth where 10 feet is required and
<br /> ~o provide a 3-foot-high hedge in lieu of the 3-foot-high wall required to screen
<br /> {parkin~ areas from residentjelly-zoned property for a proposed parking lot expansion
<br /> {within the block bounded by Orange Grove Avenue, Fourteenth Street, Lemon Street and
<br /> %Prospect Avenue, in Zone R-3, tentatively approved by =he City Council for Zone P; and
<br /> %determined that the proposal would not have a significant adverse environmental effect.
