<br />:3:00 P.M.--Further hearing was called on the request of Faith Lutheran Church for a
<br />|revised conditional use peL'mit to erec=a wall sign containing 25½ square feet in area
<br />~where a maximum of 12 square feet in area is permitted, on property situated on the
<br />northeasterly side of 3ackson Street northwesterly of Colorado Avenue, located at
<br />,4785 Jackson S~reet, in Zone R-1-65, Zoning Case C-28-612 (Revised). As heretofore
<br />directed by =he City Council, the minutes of the City Planning Commission pertaining
<br />,to =his case are on file and are a part of the evidence submitted at this hearing,
<br />whether or not any portion thereof is read or discussed. The communication from the
<br />City Planning Commission stated :hat the Coam~ission, by a vote of 4 ayes to 5 noes,
<br />failed to approve the request for a revised conditional use permit. The Planning
<br />Director presented a suppl-mental report to the City Council, together with a copy of
<br />revised sign plans involving an 8-square-foot frees=ending sign to be located in the
<br />front setback in addition to a nev 6-square-foot sign mounted on the bell ~ower, which
<br />includes a total of approximately 14 square feet of signing on two different sign
<br />faces; advising that a new amendment to the sign ordinance approved by ~he City Council
<br />on May 12, 1981, will permit 12 square feet of frees=ending signing on one sign for
<br />any church site less than one acre and 24 square feet of signing on sites having more
<br />2~han one acre; and reccn~nending that, if ~he City Council wishes to grant the revised
<br />zconditional use permit, approval be subject to the follo~Ting conditions: (1) No other
<br />identification signs shall be pe,--ltted on the site; and (2) All previously-approved
<br />applicable conditions shall remain in effect. No one was present wishing to speak on
<br />.the matter. No protests, written or oral, were presented. The hearing was officially
<br />closed. It was the determination of =he City Council ~hat the granting of the revised
<br />conditional use permit, subject to the staff-recommended conditions as stated above,
<br />~would not have a significant adverse impact on the environment; the revised conditional

<br /> :Riverside, California, Making Its Findings and Rendering Its Decision Granting an

<br /> ~3:00 P.M.--Hearing was called on the proposal of the City of ~!verside, Zoning Case
<br /> :R-48-790, to place the approximately 1.98 acres of vacant land situated on the north-
<br /> iwesterly side of Dufferin Avenue northeasterly of Adems Street in Zone WC and remove
<br /> ~the same from Zone RA-5. As heretofore directed by the City Council, the minutes of
<br /> ithe City Planning Commission pertaining to this case are on file and are a part of the
<br /> ,evidence submitted at this hearing, whether or not any portion thereof is read or
<br /> discussed. The co~nunication from the City Planning Com~ission stated that the Conm~is-
<br /> sion, by a vote of 9 ayes to 0 noes, approved Zone WC unconditionally; determined that
<br /> the proposed rezoning would not have a significant adverse environmental effect; and
<br /> adopted the s~aff report and the environmental assessment as findings. The Planning
<br /> Director presented departmental recommendations, together with maps of the area. No
<br /> one was present wishing to speak on the matter. No written protests were presented.
<br /> The hearing was officially closed. Zone WC was approved unconditionally; it was
<br /> determined that ~he rezoning would not have a significant adverse environmental effect; Motion
<br /> the staff report and the environmental assessment were adopted as findings; and the Second
<br /> ordinance was introduced. All Ayes
