CITY OF RIVERSIDE COUNCI LME N Minutes of Adjourned Regular Meetin~ of the City Council ~ Date of Meeting: June 3, 1982 ,, ,,, ,,, ,,, T~me of Meeting: 2:30 P.M. ~ ~Roll ~11: Present ,BUDGET DISCUSSION ,Mayor Brow~ called the meeting to order, and the City Council continued its consideration of the Proposed Budget for the City of Riverside for the Fiscal Year 1982-83, as prepared and submitted by the City Manager. Councilmen Shepard and Digati entered during the following presentation. Mayor Bro~n excused himself during the discussion, and Mayor Pro Tempore Buster presided. FIRE DEPARTMENT ~The Fire Chief presented the proposed budget for the Fire Department and answered questions from the City Council. Following discussion, tentative approval was given ~the Fire Department budget as presented. , ~LIBRARY DEPARTMENT ~The Library Director presented the proposed budget for the Library Department, ~including library services provided to the County by contract. FolloWing discussion, ~the City Council tentatively approved the Library Department budget as presented. MANAGEM~T STAFFING ANALYSIS ;At the request of the City Manager, the Finance Director presented a management ;staffing analysis, comparing the ratio of management staffing in Riverside with other ,comparable cities. CLOSED SESSION ;At 4:40 p.m., the City Council recessed to the Library Board Room for a closed session to consider labor negotiations. iADJOURNMENT iAt 5:45 p.m., following completion of the closed session, the City Council adjourned to ,an Adjourned Regular Meeting to be held ~n the Council Chambers, City Hall, Tuesday, iJune 8, 1982~ at 8:15 a.m., for presentation of the annual report from Chairman Luna of the Community Relations Commission.
