All Ayes !BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES COMPLETION - REHABILITATION OF 16-MILLION-GALLONEVANS RESERVOIR In consideration of =he recommendation from ~he Board of Public Utilities, the work of rehabilitation of the 16-million-~allon Evans Reservoir at Cranford Avenue and Linden Street, by Superior ~anerproofin~ & Painting Co., Inc., was accepted as completed; and execution of the Notice of Completion was authorized and directed. \ PUBLIC ~ORKS DEPARTMENT TIME EXTENSION R~UEST - TRACT 7924 A Time Extension Request was presented from The Robert E. Osborne Compeny requestin~ e six-month extension of time Eo complete the off-site improvements required for Tract 7924, located on the southerly side of Le Conic Drive northwesterly of the Ga~e Canal; together with a Memo from the Public Works Department advisin~ =hat this tract ~was adopted ohM arch 10, 1981, and this is =he second request for a time extension. ~Cons=ruc=ion is partially complete. The Department has on file bonds and a~reement in a S ru ! ufficie t amoun~ =o cover the installation of all required off-site improvements; and ~recou~nends that the City Council ~rant a six-month time extension to November 24, 1982; ~whereupon, the recommnendation was approved as presented. ~PURCHASING SERVICES MANAGER ~BID NO. 3418 - COMPLETION OF TRACT 7925, PHASE I - FUND TR~S[ER ~In consideration of the recommendation from the Purchasin~ Services Manager and the Public Works Department, the bid of Duane's Landscape, in the amount of $19,140.00, was accepted for furnishing all labor, materials and equipment for the work of completion of Tract 7925, Phase I, between Flagstone Avenue and Camelot Road. All other bids were rejected, and the bonds submitted with said rejected bids were released from further liabili~y; the City Attorney was requested to prepare ~he necessary contract; and execution of the contract was authorized and directed upon approval by the City Attorne~ of the required performance bonds. Further, a written report was submitted from the City Manager and the Public Works Director, concurred in by the City Attorney, recom- mendin~ that the City Council (1) authorize ~he transfer of $22,000 from Account 30-575-313-07 to Account 30-575-383-07 for completion of Tract 7925; (2) award a con- tract to Duane~s Landscape; (3) authorize the Legal Department to initiate litigation for recoverin~ City funds spent in connection with the completion of Tract 7925; and 67-472
