Motion ~XZ ' ' Second ~ X ', All Ayes ~e Chair recognized the presence in the a~i~ce of Janice Click representing the ,Riverside Ch~ber of Co~erce and Tom Clemens representing the h Sierra C~mber of ~Comerce. ~Counc~lmn Shepard entered at this t~. ~yor Br~ presented a Certifi~te to Pedro C~rros, a student of Notre Vis~ High School who was elected next ~ar's State Vice President of Future Faroera of ~erica, as public acknowledgment for val~ble and distinguished semite. ~yor Bro~ recognized the presence ~ the audience of the steers from various high schools participating in the Youth ~ Goverme= Day Progr~ sponsored by the Jay Cees, and introduced the participants to their City Official Counterparts. ~e ~yor announced that the funeral services would be held today for the two police officers who were killed on ~y 13, 1982, a~ t~t the City ~uncil ~eting ~uld recess at 10:15 a.m. to allow those present to att~d the funeral. He then stated that the City Council meeting would reco~ene an the Libra~ Auditori~ for the ~1:30 p.m. Public Hearings due to the fact t~t the students participating in the Youth in Gover~enr Day proceedings would be meeting in t~ Co~cil Ch~ber. Foll~ing Second ~discussion, the recomendation was approved as presented. All Ayes ~yor Bro~ recognized the presence in the audience of m~bers of the Conunity Settlement Assoc~tion; and Rudy Pahcio, Director of the Assoc~tion, extended an invitation to attend the Inauguration Cereony on May 20, 1982, at 10 a.m. ~uncil- man Shepard then presented a Conveyance of Title for the Multipurpose Social Service Center ~o the Comunity Settlem~t ~sochtion. :ACT~G ~YOR PRO T~ORE ~cilwomn Frizzel was appointed as acting ~yor Pro T~pore to sign doc~ents during Motion :the anticipated absences of Mayor Bro~ and Mayor Pro Tempore Buster on ~y 19, 20 and Second ~21, 1982. All Ayes CONSENT The following ices were approved by one ~tion affir~ng the actions appropriate to those ite~ listed on the ~nsent Calendar a~ as submitted to the City Council for Motion ',X: consideration, wich the exception of ~se GP-27-812 which was removed to the Discussion Second ~,X: Calendar; and with an addition to the recomendation relative ~o wind energy.
