PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT COMPLETION - PANORAMA ROAD, CURB AND GUTTER REPAIR In consideration of the recommendation from the Public Works Department, the curb, gutter, sidewalk and bikelane repair on Panorama Road, 0livewood to U.P.R.R., by B-1 Enterprise Corporation, was accepted as completed; and execution of the Notice of Completion was authorized and directed. COMPLETION - STRONG STREET SIPHON In consideration of the recommendation from the Public Works Department, the construction of the Strong Street siphon at Springbrook Wash, by Fartell Construction Company, was accepted as completed; and execution of the Notice of Completion was authorized and directed. COMPLETION - MAGNOLIA AVENUE LEFT TURN LANES :In consideration of the recommendation from the Public Works Department, the work of ~constructing left turn lanes at Magnolia Avenue and Buchanan Street.and at Magnolia ~Avenue and Pierce Street, widening the northwest corner at Magnolia Avenue and Buchanan ~Street, and constructing the Buchanan storm drain, by Riverside Construction Company, ~was accepted as completed; and execution of the Notice of Completion was authorized ~and directed. ~PURCHASING SERVICES MANAGER iBID NO. 3384 - TRUCK, TA/qK REPAIR [In consideration of the recommendation from the Purchasing Services Manager, the ;Public Works Department and the Fleet Management Superintendent, the bid of Ray Gaskin ~Service, in the amount of $33,599.68, was accepted for (1) furnishing the Public Works ~Department, Street Services Division, with one current model tilt cab and chassis =truck; and (2) removing 800-gallon tank from old truck, renovating, modifying and iproviding additional equipment and installing on new cab and chassis. All other bids ,were rejected; and the Purchasing Services Manager was authorized to proceed with the ipurchase by Purchase Order. iBID NO. 3386 - DUMP TRUCK ~In consideration of the recommendation from the Purchasing Services Manager, the Park ~and Recreation Director and the Fleet Management Superintendent, the bid of Lakeside ~Chevrolet & GMC Co., in the amount of $27,428.90, was accepted for furnishing the Park ~and Recreation Department with one most current model dump truck. All other bids ~were rejected; and the Purchasing Services Manager was authorized to proceed with the ~purchase by Purchase Order. ~BID NO. 3391 - SALE OF SCRAP COPPER, ALUMINUM AND IRON/STEEL :In consideration of the recommendation from the Purchasing Services Manager and the :Finance Department, the bid of Augustine Metals, Inc., in the amount of $4,170.00, ~being the highest bid received, was accepted for the sale of scrap copper, aluminum ~and iron/steel. All other bids were rejected, and the bonds submitted with said ~rejected bids were released from further liability; and the Purchasing Services Manager ~was authorized to proceed with the sale.. 67-269
