MI TEs The Minutes of the Meetings of December 14, 1982, were approved as submitted. Motion :X: Second All Ayes The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Don Pulsifer representing the Arlington Chamber of Commerce and Dick Baird representing the La Sierra Chamber of :co er ce. PRESENTATION The Mayor presented a Proclamation to Harry Kroh in recognition of his quick action in saving =he life of a woman who was trapped by a fire in her apartment. CONSENT CALENDAR The following items were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to those items listed on the Consent Calendar and as submitted to the City Council for consideration, with the exception of the request for technical assistance for economic . ;development activities, the Airport Director's salary, expansion of Weekend Prisoner ~Work Program, funding for Welfare Rights Organization, the information report regarding =sales tax revenues, the utility bill message area, change to Electric Rule No. 16, the Motion ~X= ~Summer Savers Program, the Energy Newsletter (Kilowatch), and the report relative to Second ~X: ~the Job Training Partnership Act, all of which were removed to the Discussion Calendar. All Ayes ~PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT ~TLME EXTENSION - PARCEL MAP 96, PARCEL I ONlY ~A Time Extension Request was presented from Fleetwood Enterprises, Inc., requesting a ,12-month extension of time to complete the off-site improvements required for Parcel Map 96, Parcel 1 only, located on Harrison Street southeasterly of Indiana Avenue; '~together with a memo from the Public Works Department advising that this parcel map ,was recorded on May 3, 1973, and this is the ninth request for a time extension. No ~on-site or off-site construction on Harrison Street has taken place. The Department ~has on file bonds and agreement in a sufficient amount to cover the installation of ~all required off-site improvements; and recommends that the City Council grant a ~12-month time extension to March 10, 1984. The recommendation was approved as ~presented. TIME EXTENSION - PARCEL MAP 10488 A Time Extension Request was presented from Dartell Jones, President of Custom Camp Vans and Service, Inc., requesting a 24-month extension of time to complete the off- site improvements required for Parcel Map 10488, located on Norwood Avenue between Cypress Avenue and Arlington Avenue; together with a memo from the Public Works Depart- ment advising than this parcel map was recorded on February 25, 1982, and this is the first request for a time extension. No on-site or off-site improvements have been constructed. The Department has on file b~nds and agreement in a sufficient amount to cover the installation of all required off-site improvements; and recom~nends that the ~City Council grant a 24-month extension of time to February 24, 1985. The =recommendation was approved as presented. :TIME EXTENSION -ZONING CASE R-49-789 =A Time Extension Request was presented from LaRue Frey, Inc., requesting a 12-month ~extension of time to complete the off-site improvements required for Zoning Case ~R-49-789, located on Brockton Avenue southerly of 3urupa Avenue; together with a memo 'fro the Public Works Department advising that this zoning case was adopted on Febru- e m ~ary 3, 1981, and this is the second request for a time extension. No on-site or off- ,s~te construction has taken place. The Department has on file bonds and agreement in $ ,a sufficient amount to cover the installation of all required off-site improvements; ~and recommends that the City Council grant a 12-month time extension to January 13, ~1984.
