Larry Van Essen, Christian Reformed Church. iThe Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. ]MINUTES ~The Minutes of the Meeting of October 26, 1982, were approved as submitted. ~The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Ray Tanner representing the ~Riverside Chamber of Commerce and 3udy Forher representing the La Sierra Chamber of ~Mayor Pro Tempore Mansfield recognized the presence in the audience of Riverside Fire ~Chief Richard Bosted, who introduced Mr. and Mrs. Pablo Iribas and Mr. and Mrs. Manuel ~Sanchez from Riverside's Sister City, Cuautla, Morelos, Mexico, who appeared before ~the City Council to express their appreciation to the City Council for their help in ~acquiring a Riverside fire truck and equipment and to request help to acquire some ;used garbage trucks and cars to be used for police patrol cars. Mr. Iribas is the =Fire Chief and Mr. Sanchez is the Assistant Fire Chief of Cuautla. iCONSENT CALENDAR ~The following items were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to =those items listed on the Consent Calendar and as submitted to the City Council for ~consideration, with the exception of the draft EIR on the proposed Woodlake Villages ~General Plan Amendment, the City employee charitable gift campaign, the reco~nended ~removal of a member of the Mayor's Commission on Aging, and Case VAC-3-823, all of [which were removed to the Discussion Calendar. ~CITY PLANNING COMMISSION ~TRACT MAP 18701 - NORMAN WILTON - VICTORIA NELY. OF MADISON ~A con~nunication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on ~October 7, 1982, the Commission, by a vote of 8 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to [conditions the proposal of Norman Wilton, Tract Map 18701, to divide 54 acres of ~citrus land into 10 parcels for single-family residential development, situated on the ~southeasterly side of Victoria Avenue northeasterly of Madison Street, in Zone RA-5; ~and determined that the proposal would not have a significant adverse environmental effect. It was determined that the City Council would not set the matter for public hearing. CASE VAC-4-823 - STREET EASEMENT ON BEACON WAY NELY. OF LADERALANE A con~unication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on October 21, 1982, the Commission, by a vote of 8 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to conditions the vacation of an approximately 1,200-square-foot street easement located on Beacon Way approximately 200 feet northeasterly of Ladera Lane in Zone R-1-65, Case VAC-4-823. The Public Works Department was requested to furnish the necessary legal description required in connection with the proposed vacation, and the City Attorney was authorized to prepare the appropriate resolution for City Council consideration to set the matter for public hearing. PARK AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT ~COMPLETION - BASEBALL FIELD LIGHTING - LA SIERRA PARK - HCD PRO3ECT ~In consideration of the recommendation from the Park and Recreation Department, the ~work of constructing La Sierra Park baseball field lighting, an HCD project, by Maco iServices, Inc., was accepted as completed; and execution of the Notice of Completion ,was authorized and directed.
