Larry Van Essen, Christian Reformed Church. <br /> <br />iThe Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. <br />]MINUTES <br /> <br />~The Minutes of the Meeting of October 26, 1982, were approved as submitted. <br /> <br />~The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Ray Tanner representing the <br />~Riverside Chamber of Commerce and 3udy Forher representing the La Sierra Chamber of <br /> <br />~Mayor Pro Tempore Mansfield recognized the presence in the audience of Riverside Fire <br />~Chief Richard Bosted, who introduced Mr. and Mrs. Pablo Iribas and Mr. and Mrs. Manuel <br />~Sanchez from Riverside's Sister City, Cuautla, Morelos, Mexico, who appeared before <br />~the City Council to express their appreciation to the City Council for their help in <br />~acquiring a Riverside fire truck and equipment and to request help to acquire some <br />;used garbage trucks and cars to be used for police patrol cars. Mr. Iribas is the <br />=Fire Chief and Mr. Sanchez is the Assistant Fire Chief of Cuautla. <br />iCONSENT CALENDAR <br />~The following items were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to <br />=those items listed on the Consent Calendar and as submitted to the City Council for <br />~consideration, with the exception of the draft EIR on the proposed Woodlake Villages <br />~General Plan Amendment, the City employee charitable gift campaign, the reco~nended <br />~removal of a member of the Mayor's Commission on Aging, and Case VAC-3-823, all of <br />[which were removed to the Discussion Calendar. <br /> <br />~CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />~TRACT MAP 18701 - NORMAN WILTON - VICTORIA NELY. OF MADISON <br />~A con~nunication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on <br />~October 7, 1982, the Commission, by a vote of 8 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to <br />[conditions the proposal of Norman Wilton, Tract Map 18701, to divide 54 acres of <br />~citrus land into 10 parcels for single-family residential development, situated on the <br />~southeasterly side of Victoria Avenue northeasterly of Madison Street, in Zone RA-5; <br />~and determined that the proposal would not have a significant adverse environmental <br />effect. It was determined that the City Council would not set the matter for public <br />hearing. <br /> <br /> CASE VAC-4-823 - STREET EASEMENT ON BEACON WAY NELY. OF LADERALANE <br /> A con~unication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on <br /> October 21, 1982, the Commission, by a vote of 8 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to <br /> conditions the vacation of an approximately 1,200-square-foot street easement located <br /> on Beacon Way approximately 200 feet northeasterly of Ladera Lane in Zone R-1-65, <br /> Case VAC-4-823. The Public Works Department was requested to furnish the necessary <br /> legal description required in connection with the proposed vacation, and the City <br /> Attorney was authorized to prepare the appropriate resolution for City Council <br /> consideration to set the matter for public hearing. <br /> <br /> PARK AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT <br /> <br /> ~COMPLETION - BASEBALL FIELD LIGHTING - LA SIERRA PARK - HCD PRO3ECT <br /> ~In consideration of the recommendation from the Park and Recreation Department, the <br /> ~work of constructing La Sierra Park baseball field lighting, an HCD project, by Maco <br /> iServices, Inc., was accepted as completed; and execution of the Notice of Completion <br /> ,was authorized and directed. <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />All Ayes <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />All Ayes <br /> <br />,X <br /> <br />68-151 <br /> <br /> <br />
