Motion !X <br />~ Second ~X <br />' All Ayes <br />~PRESENTATIONS <br />~Mayor Brown presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Ella Lambert for her honesty in <br />~returning lost money and checks to the Riverside Junior Tackle Football League. <br /> <br />'A <br />, Proclamation was presented by Mayor Brown to Robert Simko and Peggy Eccleston, , <br />~representing the City's Handicapped Advisory Committee, and Terry Spiro, representing <br />,the Riverside branch of the California Association of the Physically Handicapped, <br />~proclaiming Friday, October 15, 1982, as Handicapped Accessibility Day in conjunction <br />with National Handicapped Awareness Week. <br /> <br />,The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Pat Fanode representing the <br />,R~vers~de Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br />,CONSENT CALENDAR , <br />~The following items were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to <br />~those items listed on the Consent Calendar and as submitted to the City Council for Motion ,X, <br />,consxderat~on, with the exception of Zoning Cases V-7-823, V-45-823 and V-47-823, all Second ,X <br />~of which were removed to the Discussion Calendar. PETERSON - 7107 ARLINCTON- NO ACTION TAKEN <br />,A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on <br />iSeptember 9, 1982, the Commission, by a vote of 8 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to <br />~conditions the request of C. Peterson, Zoning Case C-3-823, for a conditional use <br />~permit to establish, operate and maintain a women's physical fitness center in the <br />Riverside Air Park, located at 7107 Arlington Avenue, situated on the northerly side <br />of Arlington Avenue westerly of Airport Drive, in Zone AIR; and determined that the <br />proposal would not have a significant adverse environmental effect. Inasmuch as the <br />City has received a request from the property owner to withdraw the above application <br />for a conditional use permit, the City Council took no action on this matter. <br /> <br /> ZONING CASE C-4-823 - J. ELLENBERGER, ET AL. - 7109 ARLINGTON AVENUE <br />A conununication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on <br />September 9, 1982, the Commission, by a vote of 7 ayes to 1 no, approved subject to <br />conditions the request of J. Ellenberger, et al., Zoning Case C-4-823, for a <br />conditional use permit to establish, operate and maintain a health club in the River- <br />side Air Park, located at 7109 Arlington Avenue, situated on the northerly side of <br />;Arlington Avenue westerly of Airport Drive, in Zone AIR; and determined that the <br />~proposal would not have a significant adverse environmental effect. It was determined <br />~that the City Council would not set the matter for public hearing. <br /> <br />~ZONING CASE C-15-801 (REVISED) - P. & J. DEVELOPMENT CO., INC. - PROPOSED SWLY. <br />:EXTENSION OF COLLETT SWLY. OF PIERCE <br />~A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on <br />~September 9, 1982, the Commission, by a vote of 8 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to <br />Xconditions the request of P. & J. Development Co., Inc., Zoning Case C-15-801 <br />[(Revised), for a revised conditional use permit to establish, operate and maintain a <br />[148-space condominium mobile home park and recreational facilities on approximately <br />[30.5 acres of undeveloped land, situated southwesterly of Pierce Street on both sides <br />of the proposed southwesterly extension of Collett Avenue, in Zones RA and R-1-65, <br />~tentatively approved for Zone R-1-65; and determined that the proposal would not have <br />~a significant adverse environmental effect.
