<br /> INTERVIEWS OF C~DIDATES FOR CI~ BONDS ~ CO~ISSIONS
<br /> As previously dete~ined by the City Council, this is the time scheduled for conducting
<br /> further interviews of candidates for appointment to various City Boards and Co~issions.,
<br />
<br />~[AYOR'S COMMISSION ON AGING
<br />John Davis, Matt Lipartiti, Elizabeth Miles, William Graumann and arnold Hoppe were
<br />interviewed for membership on the Mayor's Commission on Aging. Following the inter-
<br />views, John Davis and Elizabeth Miles were appointed to the Commission to fill a
<br />four-year term ending October l, 1986, and the remainder of a four-year term ending
<br />October 1, 1983; and the new appointees were requested to determine the assignment of
<br />the terms by the drawing of lots. Further, Matt Lipartiti was selected as first
<br />alternate to the Commission, and William Graumann was appointed as the second alternate.

<br />Councilman Digati entered at this time.
<br />
<br /> MUSEUM BOARD
<br />'Leticia Rosales was interviewed, and was reappointed to the Museum Board to serve a
<br />four-year term ending October 1, 1986.
<br />
<br />PERSONNEL BOARD
<br />Dianne Casey was interviewed, and was reappointed to the Personnel Board to serve a
<br />four-year term ending October 1, 1986.
<br />
<br /> EFFECTIVE DATE OF APPOINTMENTS TO ENERGY COMMISSION
<br />~It was the decision of the City Council that appointments to the Energy Commission will
<br />~become effective Thursday, October 7, 1982, to insure that there will be a quorum of
<br />~present Members eligible to attend the regularly-scheduled Commission meeting on
<br />Wednesday, October 6, 1982.

<br />:RECESS
<br />:At 12:40 p.m., the City Council recessed for lunch, and reconvened at 1:10 p.m., with
<br />~all Members present except Councilwoman Mansfield, and with Acting Mayor Pro Tempore
<br />:Buster presiding.

<br />iENERGY COMMISSION
<br />~Edward Carloni, Joan Garretson, Jane Hall, Ralph Viafora, Gerald Williams, Brian Heard,
<br />~and Dorothy Argow were interviewed for membership on the Energy Conmaission. Following
<br />the interviews, and without formal motion, the City Council determined that appoint-
<br />,ments will not be made to this Commission until the remaining candidates can be
<br />~scheduled for interview.

<br />.ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION COMMISSION
<br /> Peter Uli was interviewed, and was reappointed to the Environmental Protection
<br /> Commission to serve a four-year term ending October 1, 1986.
<br />
<br />Stephen Ardelean was also interviewed for membership on the Commission. It was the
<br />decision of the City Council, without formal motion, not to make the remaining
<br />appointments to the Commission until the other candidates selected for interview can
<br />be scheduled.
<br />
<br />PARKING, TRAFFIC AND STREETS COMMISSION
<br />Earl Reed, John Boyd, Ivan Baldwin and Karen Carver were interviewed for membership on
<br />the Parking, Traffic and Streets Conm~ission. At the conclusion of the interviews,
<br />Ivan Baldwin was appointed to the Commission to serve a term ending October 1, 1985;
<br />and John Boyd was appointed as alternate.
