Motion <br />' Second ', X~ <br />' All Ayes <br /> <br />~P~SE~ATIONS <br /> <br />,M~yor Pro Tempore Loveridge presented Proclamations to Carols Leonard, Alvord Teacher's <br />iAssociation, and Barbara Kerr, Riverside City Teacher's A~sociation, in recognition of <br />April 19, 1983, as the First Annual Day of the Teacher. <br /> <br />The Mayor Pro Tempore also presented Proclamations to Narda Judge, Volunteer Center of <br />Riverside, and Maggie Hawkins, City of Riverside Volunteer Coordinator, in recognition <br />of Volunteer Week. <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The following items were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to <br />[those items listed on the Consent Calendar and as submitted to the City Council for <br />:consideration. <br /> <br />:ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION COMMISSION <br /> <br />]CASE EPC-28-823 - PROPOSED REALIGNMENT OF JURUPA AVENUE <br />:A communication was presented from the Environmental Protection Commission advising <br />[that, on March 23, 1983, the Commission, by a vote of 7 ayes to 0 noes, determine~t - <br />:that the proposed realignment of Jutups Avenue from Van Buren Boulevard to approxi- <br />:mately 750 feet easterly of Van Buren Boulevard would not have a significant adverse <br />:environmental effect, Case EPC-28-823. The Comm~Lssion's finding was upheld by the <br />:City Council. <br />, <br />~PLANNING DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />~TIME EXTENSION ON CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL - ZONING CASE R-67-789 <br />~A communication was presented from Louise Anderson requesting a one-year time extension <br />~from May 1, 1983, in which to complete the conditions of approval under Zoning Case <br />~R-67-789, relating to two lots with a combined area of approximately .34 acre of land <br />~situated on the northeasterly side of Adams Street northwesterly of Diana Avenue, <br />~located at 3507 and 3517 Adam~ Street. Petition for a zone change was granted on <br />[May 1, 1979, and this is the third request for a time extension. The time extension <br />,was granted to May 1, 1984, as requested. <br /> <br />~TIME EXTENSION ON CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL - ZONING CASE 'R-94-790 <br />~A communication was presented from Tariq M. Sham, President of Shamma Enterprises, <br />,Inc., requesting a one-year time extension from June 17, 1983, in which to complete <br />ithe conditions of approval under Zoning Case R-94-790, relating to two lots having a <br />,combined area of approximately .37 acre of land situated on the southerly side of <br />,Twelfth Street westerly of Chicago Avenue. Petition for a zone change was granted on <br />June 17, 1980, and this is the second request for a time extension. The time extension <br />was granted to June 17, 1984, as requested. <br /> <br />PARK AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />COMPLETION - RESTROOMS A[~ SITE IMPROVEMENTS - DON LORENZI AND DON JONES PARKS <br />In consideration of the recommendation from the Park and Recreation Department, the <br />work of constructing restrooms and site improvements at the Don Lorenzi and Don Jones <br />Parks, by Hefley Bros.
