James Hall, Wesley United Methodist Church. <br /> ~Th <br /> e Pledge of Allegiance was Siren ~o the Flag. <br /> <br /> MI~TES <br /> ~The Minutes of the Meetings of ~rch 8, 1983, were approved as sub~tted. <br /> <br />The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Paul McNeil1 representing the <br />~Riverside Chamber of Commerce, Victor Reese representing the Arlington Chamber of <br />Comerce and Steve Parker representinS the La Sierr. a Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The following items were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to <br />those items listed on the Consent Calendar and as submitted to the City Council for <br />consideration, with the exception of street improvements appeal on Parcel Map 18944 <br />and Van Burst Boulevard median landscape treatment, both of which were removed to the <br />Discussion Calendar. <br /> <br />CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br /> ZONING CASE C-26-712 (REVISED) - ARLINGTON ROYALE - 4609 ARLINGTON AVENUE <br />A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on <br />February 17, 1983, the Commission, by a vote of 7 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to <br />conditions the request of Arlington Royale, Zoning Case C-26-712 (Revised), for a <br />revised conditional use permit to expand an existing elderly housing facility by <br />construction of 55 additional rooms to the existing 64-room facility, with possible <br />revision of previous conditions relating to the scope of allowed uses, on property <br />situated on the northerly side of Arlington Avenue westerly of the intersection of <br />[Magnolia and Arlington Avenues, located at 4609 Arlington Avenue, in Zone R-1-657 <br />'and determined that the proposal would not have a significant edverse environmental <br />~effect. It was determined that the City Council would not set the matter for public <br />~hearing. <br /> <br />~ZONING CASE MP-3-767 (REV.) - CAllAVIA & SONS (KOMFORT INDUSTRIES, INC.) - 7888 LINCOLN <br />*A <br />, communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on <br />~February 17, 1983, the Commission, by a vote of 7 ayes to 1 no, approved subject to <br />~conditions the proposal of Carevia & Sons (Komfort Industries, Inc.), Zoning Case <br />[MP-3-767 (Revised), to revise an approved MP plot plan to construct a parking and <br />~ r ge building (approximately 3,000 square feet) and to construct a storage canopy <br />sto a <br />'(approximately 1,000 square feet) within an existing industrial facility situated on <br />~the easterly corner of Lincoln Avenue and Jefferson Street, located at 7888 Lincoln <br />~Avenue, in Zone MP; and determined that the proposal would not have a significant <br />~adverse environmental effect. It was determined that the City Council would not set <br />:the matter for public hearing. <br /> <br />~BOARD OF ADMINISTRATIVE APPEALS AND ZONING ADJUSTMENT <br /> <br />ZONING CASE V-102-823 - CWT DEVELOPMENT, ET AL. - 1000 VIA ZAPATA <br />A communication was presented from the Board of Administrative Appeals and Zoning <br />Adjustment advising that, on February 28, 1983, the Board, by a vote of 7 ayes to <br />0 noes, approved subject to conditions the request of CWT Development, etal., Zoning <br />Case V-102-823, for a variance to construct a residential condominium project which <br />(A) encroaches approximately 2.5 feet into the required 10-foot side yard setback; and <br />(B) provides 23 feet of maneuvering area where 28 feet is required when parking bays <br />are adjacent to driveways on property situated on the northwesterly comer of Via <br />Zapata and Via' Pintada, located at 1000 Via Zapata, in Zone R-37 and determined that <br />;the proposal would not have a significant adverse environmental effect.
