Motion Second All Ayes The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Dick Baird representing the La Sierra Chamber of Commerce. PRESENTATION Mayor Brown presented a Proclamation to the Poly High School Running Club, as well as individual Certificates of Appreciation to the participants, for making a marathon relay run from the banks of the Colorado River at Blythe to the Pacific Ocean at Huntington Beach, raising $1,200 in pledges for the benefit of the Riverside Youth Center. CONSENT CALENDAR The following items were approved b~ one motion affirming the actions appropriate to those items listed on the Consent Calendar and as submitted to the City Council for consideration with the exception of Zoning Case V-100-823, the report on Historic Landmark No. 40 (Seventh Street), salary range for Chief of Police clasa, engineer's contract for SCADA Phase II, renewal of contract with Edward S. Babcock & Sons, Time Extension Request for Zoning Case R-68-634, and the two reports from the Citizens :Transportation Advisory Committee regarding Bike-to-Work Day and attendance by a CTAC Motion :member at the City Council Transportation Committee meetings, all of which were removed Second 'to , the Discussion Calendar. All Ayes ~CI PLANNING , TY COMMISSION ~ZONING CASE C-12-612 (REVISED) - TMLE BETH EL - 2675 CENTRAL AVENUE sA communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on :F ry 3, 1983, the Commission, by a vote of 9 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to ebrua : nditions the request of Riverside Temple Beth El, Zoning Case C-12-612 (Revised), co :for a revised conditional use permit to expand classrooms, to construct a new classroom :building and to include an existing nursery school on property situated on the north- st corner ea of Victoria and Central Avenues, located at 2675 Central Avenue, in Zone :R-1-125; and determined that the proposal would not have a significant adverse environ- :mental effect. It was determined that the City Council would not set the matter for ipublic hearing. :ZONING CASE C-10-701 (REVISED) - RIVERSIDE COUNTRY CLUB MOBILE HOME PARK, ET AL. - :9391 CALIFORNIA AVENUE ~A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on ~February 3, 1983, the Commission, by a vote of 9 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to ,conditions the request of Riverside Country Club Mobile Home Park, etal., Zoning Case :_ _ C 10 701 (Revised), for a revised conditional use permit to utilize approximately 3/4 acre of land previously reserved for flood control purposes to add two mobile home :spaces within an existing mobile home park located at 9391 California Avenue, situated 'on the northwesterly side of California Avenue northeasterly of Van Buren Boulevard, 'in Zone R-1-65; and determined that the proposal would not have a significant adverse :environmental effect. It was determined that the City Council would not set the ,~natter for public hearing. iZONING CASE C-32-767 (REVISED) - PARK AVENUE BAPTIST CHURCH - 1912 PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE :A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on :February 3, 1983, the Commission considered the request of Park Avenue Baptist Church, :Zoning Case C-32-767 (Revised), for a revised conditional use permit to establish, :operate and maintain a child care center for up to 100 children, ages 2-5 years, ~ithin an existing church facility located at 1912 Pennsylvania Avenue, on :approximately 4.5 acres situated on the southwest corner of Pennsylvania and Ottawa 68-306
