Motion ~X] <br /> Second .X, <br /> All Ayes <br /> <br /> The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Richard Richardson representing <br /> the Riverside Chamber of Commerce, Mario Perez representing the Arlington Chamber of <br /> Commerce and Dee Gibson representing the La Sierra Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br /> PRESENTATIONS <br /> The City Manager introduced Carl Conner, Wastewater System Superintendent, and Linda <br /> Wood, Library Director; and Mayor Brown presented an award to Mr. Corner, who was <br /> selected as Man of the Year for 1982 by the Santa Ana River Basin Section of the <br /> California Water Pollution Control Association, and an award to Ms. Wood from the <br /> California Library Association in recognition of her leadership role ia the affairs of <br /> the Association. <br /> <br /> CASA BLANCACOMMUNITYACTION GROUP <br />'Mr <br />, . Raymond Navarro presented, on behalf of the Casa Blanca Community Action Group, a <br />~petition to the Mayor and City Council expressing the Group's dissatisfaction for the <br />~failure of certain invited City officials to attend a special meeting on January 14, <br />~1983, to discuss the crisis in police-community relations; a~d requesting the Mayor to <br />~a r g and host a <br /> r an e meeting with the City officials and representatives of the Casa <br />~Blanca Conmmnity Action Group at the earliest possible date. The City Manager advised <br />~that a meeting has been scheduled for the morning of January 19, 1983. <br /> <br />~ CONSENT CALENDAR <br />~The following items were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to <br />~those items listed on the Consent Calendar and as submitted to the City Council for <br />,consideration with the exception of Zoning Case PRD-9-767 (Revised), time extension <br />,request on Zoning Case R-55-767, proposed amendment to Ordinance No. 4976 which created Motion IX[ <br />,the Economic Development Authority, a~ proposed conversion of a portion of Orange Second ~X' <br />~Street to two-way traffic, all of which were removed to the Discussion Calendar All Ayes ' <br />| <br />~CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />iZONING CASE PRD-3-823 (REVISF~) - R. CMAUSSEE, ET AL. - SWLY. SIDE OF MONROE SELY. OF <br />~MAGNOLIA <br />'A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on <br />December 23, 1982, the Commission, by a vote of 7 ayes ~o ~ noes, approved subject to <br />'conditions the request of R. Chaussee, eta!., Zoning Case PRD-3~823 {Revised), to <br />revise an approved planned residential development to include additional land and <br />increase the number of units from 59 ~o 81 on approximately five acres (developed with <br />~four single-family dwellings proposed for removal) of land located in the 3600 block <br />of Monroe Street, situated on the southwesterly side of Monroe Street southeasterly of <br />Magnolia Avenue, in Zone R-1-65, tentatively approved for Zones R-3-S-2; and determined <br />that the proposal would not have a significant adverse environmental effect.
