<br />, yor Brown called the meeting to order, and the City Council continued its
<br />consideration of the Proposed Budget for the City of Riverside for the Fiscal Year
<br />1984-85, as prepared and submitted by the City Manager.
<br />
<br />~Councilman Digati entered during the following discussion. ~X
<br />
<br />~PARK AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT
<br />~The Park and Recreation Director presented the proposed budget for the Park and
<br />~Recreatlon Department, and answered questions from the City Council. Chairman
<br />~Montgomery and several other Members of the Park and Recreation Commission were pres-
<br />sent, and spoke in support of the supplemental budget requests Following discussion, Motion ,X'
<br />itentative approval was given the Park and Recreation Department budget as presented on Second ~X~
<br />pages 365 through 401 of the Budget. All Ayes
<br />
<br />sMayor Brown excused himself at this time, and Councilman Loveridge chaired the meeting
<br /> in the absence Of Mayor Pro Tempore Bowers.

<br /> AIRPORT DEPARTMENT
<br /> The Airport Department budget was presented by the Airport Director. Following Motion ~X2
<br /> discussion, the City Council gave tentative approval to the Airport Department budget, Second 'X'
<br /> pages 415 through 422. All Ayes
<br />
<br /> ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES
<br /> The Administrative Services Director presented the budget of the Administrative Motion , ,
<br /> Services Department, pages 19 through 59. Following discussion, the City Council Second , ,
<br /> tentatively approved the Administrative Services Department budget as presented. All Ayes
<br />
<br /> SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET ITEMS -APPROVED

<br />, consideration of the reco~nendation of the Budget Officer, the City Council
<br /> tentatively approved the following items from the Supplemental Budget Requests:
<br />
<br /> Park and Recreation Department - New facility maintenance, $72,334; Highgrove
<br /> Disposal costs· $28,000, both from the General Fund.
<br />
<br /> Police Department - Hazardous materials handling, $7,600, from the General Fund.
<br />
<br /> Public Works Department - Engineering Aide II (Engr.) $30,201, from HCD funds; Motion :X'
<br /> Engineering Aide II (Traffic), $26,722, from Gas Tax funds; and Engineering Second IX[
<br /> Technician (Traffic), $34,780, from Gas Tax funds. All Ayes
<br />
