<br />The Minutes of the Meetings of June 5, 1984, were approved as submitted.
<br />
<br />The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Diane Zak representing the
<br />R/verside Chamber of Commerce, Bob Raven representing the Arlington Chamber of Co~
<br />merce, Tom Guagliardo representing the La Sierra Chamber of Co--,erce and Bob Bourrioux
<br />representing the Magnolia Center Chamber of Comerce.

<br />PRESENTATION
<br />Mayor Brown presented a Plaque of Appreciation to Raft Singletary for his service as a
<br />charter member of the Economic Development Committee and Economic Development
<br />:Corporation.

<br />~CONSENT CALENDAR
<br />'The foliowinE items were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to
<br />=those items listed on the Consent Calendar and as submitted to the City Council for
<br />=consideration, with the exception of the report regarding the 1984 sewer quota which
<br />~was continued to this afternoon to be considered with the hearing on the Housing
<br />~Element.

<br />~ZONING CASE G-30-83~ - CHEVRON U.S.A. - 3476 VAN BUREN BOULEVARD
<br />|A comma=lea=ion was presented from the City Planning Commission advisinE that, on
<br />}Mey 17, 1984, the Co-waission, by a vote of 9 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to
<br />~conditions the request of Chevron U.S.A., Zoning Case C-30-834, for a conditional use
<br />~permit to remodel an existing service station into a self-service station on property
<br />situated on the west comer of Van Buren Boulevard and the southbound on-ramp of the
<br />Riverside (91) Freeway, located at 3476 Van Buren Boulevard, in Zone C-2; and deter-
<br />mined that the proposal would not have a significant adverse environmental effect. It
<br />was determined that the City Gouncil would not set the matter for public hearing.

<br />ZONING CASE C-40-834 - DER WIENERSCHNITZEL - 9589-95 MAGNOLIA AVENUE
<br />A comunication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on
<br />May 17, 1984, the Commission, by a vote of 8 ayes to 1 no, approved subject to condi-
<br />tions the request of Der Wienerschnitzel, Zoning Case C-40-834, for a conditional use
<br />~permit to expand an existing no=conforming fast food drive-through restaurant situated
<br />=on the northerly comer of Magnolia Avenue and Roosevelt Street, located at
<br />~9589-95 Magnolia Avenue, in Zone 67~; and determined that the proposal would not have a
<br />~significant adverse effect on the environment. It was determined that the City Council
<br />~would not set the matter for public hearing.

<br />~OF LA SIERRA
<br />~ communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on
<br />~iay 17, 1984, the Commission, by a vote of 9 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to
<br />~conditions the request of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Zoning Case
<br />~C-43-834, for a conditional use permit to construct a church and incidental parking on
<br />~five vacant acres of land located on the south side of the 11100 block of Collett
<br />~Avenue westerly of La Sierra Avenue, in Zone R-1-65; and determined that the proposal
<br />ould not have a significant adverse environmental effect. It was determined that the
<br />~City Council would not set the matter for public hearing.
