<br />MINUTES
<br />The Minutes of the Meetings of May 22 and 29, 1984, were approved as submitted.
<br />
<br />The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Marge Seymour representing the
<br />Riverside Chamber of Commerce, John Guthrie representing the Arlington Chamber of
<br />Commerce and Steve Parker representing the La Sierra Chamber of Commerce.

<br /> CONSENT CALENDAR
<br />The following items were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to
<br />,those items listed on the Consent Calendar and as submitted to the City Council for
<br />iconsideration, with the exception of contract extension with Carrier Corporation,
<br />permit agreement for refreshment and trackless tYain concession at Fairmount Park, and
<br />,extension of electric line clearance tree trimming contract with Asplundh Tree Expert
<br />~Company, all of which were removed to the Discussion Calendar.

<br />ZONING CASE C-39-578 (REVISED) - K. SMITH - 4850 JURUPA AVENUE
<br />A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on
<br />May 3, 1984, the Commission, by a vote of 7 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to condi-
<br />tions the request of K. Smith, Zoning Case C-39-578 (Revised), for a revised condi-
<br />tional use permit to expand an existing pre-school facility within the facilities of
<br />the Seventh Day Adventist Church situated on the south side of Jurupa Avenue westerly
<br />2of Arch Way, located at 4850 Jurupa Avenue, in Zone R-1-65; and determined that the
<br />~proposal would not have a significant adverse environmental effect. It was determined
<br />that the matter would not be set for public hearing by the City Council.

<br />ZONING CASE C-30-656 (REVISED) - HARVEST CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP - 6115 ARLINGTON AVENUE
<br />~A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on
<br />, y 3, 1984, the Commission, by a vote of 8 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to condi-
<br />~tions the request of Harvest Christian Fellowship, Zoning Case C-30-656 (Revised), for
<br />,
<br />~a revised conditional use permit to revise its approved plot plan and to continue to
<br />~use eight classroom trailers on property situated on the northeasterly corner of
<br />~Arlington Avenue and Nell Street, located at 6115 Arlington Avenue, in Zone R-1-65;
<br />~and determined that the proposal would not have a significant adverse environmental
<br />~effect. It was determined that the matter would not be set for public hearing by the
<br /> City Council.

<br />,A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on
<br />~May 3, 1984, the Commission, by a vote of 6 ayes to 0 noes and 1 abstention, approved
<br />~subject to conditions the request of Black Gold Oil Co., Zoning Case C-8-812 (Revised),
<br />Ifor a revised conditional use permit to expand an existing service station to include
<br />,a mini-market on property situated on the northeasterly comer of University and Park
<br />~Avenues, located at 2871 University Avenue, in Zone C-3; and determined that the
<br />~proposal would not have a significant adverse environmental effect. It was determined
<br />~that the matter would not be set for public hearing by the City Council.
<br />iZONING CASE C-42-834 - J. TAVAGLIONE - 3707 ARLINGTON AVENUE
<br />'A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on
<br />~May 3, 1984, the Commission considered the request of J. Tavaglione, Zoning Case
<br />~C-42-834, for a conditional use permit to establish an automobile glass installation
<br />=facility (automobile service center) on property situated on the northwest comer of
<br />~Arlington and Brockton Avenues, located at 3707 Arlington Avenue, in Zones C-2-X and
<br />,RO; and, by a vote of 7 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to conditions the applicant's
<br />~alternate design; and determined that the proposal would not have a significant adverse
<br />~effect on the environment. It was determined that the matter would not be set for
<br />~public hearing by the City Council.
