<br /> the Riverside Chamber of Commerce, Bob Stewart representing the Magnolia Center Chamber
<br /> of Commerce and Jim Davidson representing the Riverside Downtown Association.

<br /> IMayor Pro Tempore Bowers presented a Proclamation to a representative of the Riverside
<br /> JVolunteer Center proclaiming the month of May 1984 as Volunteer Recognition Month in
<br /> ~Riverside.

<br /> , following items were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to
<br /> [those items listed on the Consent Calendar and as submitted to the City Council for
<br /> consideration with the exception of Tract Map 9335 (Revised) and the Willjams- Motion
<br /> ~Kuebelbeck economic-development strategy, both of which were removed to the Discussion Second

<br /> iZONING CASE C-19-823 (REVISED) - CALMARK DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION - 4700 BLOCK JACKSON
<br /> ~A communication was presented from the'City Planning Commission advising that, on
<br /> April 5, 1984, the Commission, by a vote of 6 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to
<br /> conditions the request of Calmark Development Corporation, Zoning Case C-19-823 (Re-
<br /> vised), for a revised conditional use permit to add approximately 3.1 acres of vacant
<br /> land and 123 more units to an approved 145-unit sen~or citizen apartment project
<br /> (total 268 units) in the 4700 block of Jackson Street, situated on the southwest side
<br /> of Jackson Street southeaSterly of its intersection with Van Buren Boulevard, in Zones
<br /> R-1-65 and R-3-30; and determined that the proposal would not have a significant
<br /> adverse environmental effect. It was determined that the City Council would not set
<br /> ~the matter for public hearing.

<br /> ~ZONING CASE C-34-834 - THE SECOND BAPTIST CHURCH OF RIVERSIDE - 2911 NINTH STREET
<br /> 'A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on
<br /> ~April 5, 1984, the Commission, by a vote of 5 ayes to 0 noes and 1 abstention, approved
<br /> ;subject to conditions the request of The Second Baptist Church of Riverside, Zoning
<br /> Case C-34-834, for a conditional use permit to expand the nonconforming church located
<br /> iat 2911 Ninth Street by adding detached vacant lots at 2891 and 2972 Ninth Street for
<br /> =parking purposes, generally situated on the north and east corners of Ninth Street and
<br /> :Park Avenue and on the southwest side of Ninth Street northwest of Park Avenue, in
<br /> .Zones R-3 and M-l; and determined that the proposal would not have a significant
<br /> ~adverse environmental effect. It was determined that the City Council would not set
<br /> ithe matter for public hearing.

<br /> ~ZONING CASE C-36-834 - S. H. BOW~MAN - 9500 ARLINGTON AVENUE
<br /> ~A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on
<br /> April 5, 1984, the Commission, by a vote of 6 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to
<br /> ~conditions the request of S. H. Bowman, Zoning Case C-36-834, for a conditional use
<br /> ]permit to establish an automobile impound yard on .9 acre of land developed with an
<br /> ~automobile-oriented business located at 9500 Arlington Avenue, situated on the south
