PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT COMPLETION - BENEDICT CANYON SEWER PROTECTION 1983 In consideration of the recommendation from the Public Works Department, the work of installing gabions, silt fences and earthwork in Benedict Canyon, located in Benedict Canyon approximately 1,500 feet southerly of ChicaSo Avenue, by Riverside Construction Company, was accepted as c~pleted; and execution of the Notice of Completion was authorized and directed. COMPLETION - 1983 STP~EET RESURFACING, O~Y MINOR STREETS JIm consideration of the reco-~.endation from the Public Works Department, the work of ~1983 street resurfacing, overlay minor streets, located on Buena Vista Avenue, Redwood JDrive between University Avenue and Santa Ana Bridge, Cochran Street, and at various Jother locations within the City, by Fontana Paving, Inc., was accepted as completed; Jand execution of the Notice of Completion was authorized and directed. JTIME EXTENSION - ZONING CASE R-43-801 iA Time Extension Request was substinted from J D Diffenbaugh Inc., on behalf of iArlington Co~nity Hospital Corporation, requesting a three-month extension of time sto complete the off-site improvements required for Zoning Case R-43-801, located at iSherman Drive and Wheeler Street; together with a memo from the Public Works Department advising that this zoning case was adopted on August 3, 1982, and this is the second request for a time extension. Both on-site and off-site improvements are partially complete. The Department has on file bonds and agreement in a sufficient amount to ~cover the installation of all required off-site improvements; and recommends that the City Council grant a three-month extension of time to July 19, 1984. The reconunendation was approved as presented. The [recommendation was approved as presented. , JPURCH~ING SERVICES MANAGER JBID NO. 3641 - 1,250 GPM PUM~ERS WITH OPTIONAL TRADE-INS Jln consideration of the recommendation from the Purchasing Services Manager and the JFire Department, the bid of Albro Fire Equipment Company, in the amount of $268,114.48 - total bid, was accepted for furnishing the Fire Department, Maintenance JDivision, with two 1,250 GPM pu~ers with optional trade-ins. All other bids were Irejeered, and the bonds submitted with said rejected bids were released from further ~liability; and the Purchasing Services Manager was authorized to proceed with the Jpurchase by Purchase Order. , 69-427
