The Pledge of Allegiance was given to the Flag. MINUTES The Minutes of the Meeting of July 27, 1999, were approved as presented. PRESENTATIONS Mayor Loveridge and Councilmember Pearson presented a Certificate of Appreciation and City pin to Sommer Seholl, winner of the 11-12 Division of the Junior World Golf Championships. Mayor Loveridge presented a Certificate of Appreciation and City pins to Commissioner Jim Clark and Executive Board members of the American Youth Soccer Organization, Region 47, in recognition of their exceptional work with the youth of Riverside. Councilmember Moore and Library Director Judith Auth presented the Eastside Cybrary Connection/Barbara Boxer Excellence in Education Award to Michael Reagan, Chairman of the Library Board of Trustees, and Carolyn Denny, Sheri Irvin, and Eddy Cadenza, members of the Cybrary staff. CONSENT CALENDAR The following items, presented to the City Council on the Consent Calendar for consideration, were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to each item; with Councilmember Pearson disqualifying herself due to a conflict of interest on the item relative to the Inland Empire Small Business Development Center. PLANNING COMMISSION ZONING CASE CU-001-990 - 5295 ARLINGTON The City Council upheld the action of the Planning Commission in approving subject to conditions the proposal of Roy W. Herbold, Jr., on behalf of Bank of America for a conditional use permit to re-establish drive-thru lanes for drive-up ATM kiosks immediately adjacent to an approximately 10,200-square-foot building occupied by Bank of American administrative offices at 5295 Arlington Avenue, situated on the northeast coruer of Arlington and Streeter Avenues, in Zone C-2.
