CITY OF RIVERSIDE <br /> <br /> COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> <br /> Minutes of Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council <br /> Date of Meeting: June 19, 1985 <br /> Time of Meeting: 3:00 P.M. ~,~ <br /> <br />~Roll ~11: Present ,X:X:X~X',X',X:Ai'. <br /> <br />~BUDGET DISCUSSION <br />~ln the absence of Mayor Brown and Mayor Pro Tempore Peterson, Councilman Renck called <br />,the meeting to order; and the City Council continued its consideration of the Proposed <br />Budget for the City of Riverside for the Fiscal Year 1985-86. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pro Tempore Peterson entered during the following discussion and presided. <br /> <br />A written report was submitted from the City Manager and the Finance Director <br />presenting a list (Attachment B) of budget adjustments required because of City Coun- <br />cil actions taken following completion of departmental budgets, a listing of supple- <br />mental budget requests (Attachment A-l), and a stmmmry of recomendations (Attachment <br />A-2). The City ~nager and the Budget Officer discussed the report and attachments. <br /> <br />Councilman Shepard was excused at this time to represent the City Council at the <br />;meeting of the Private Industry Council Executive Committee. <br /> <br /> COOPER-BET HOUSE <br />~Following discussion by the City Council, tentative approval was given the funding of <br />~the Cooper-Burkhart House for the fiscal year 1985-86 in the amount of $10,000, with <br />,the understanding that this is a one-time appropriation. <br /> <br />~SUPPL[MENTAL BUDGET REOUESTS <br />, <br />,Tentative approval was given the su~nary of supplemental requests as submitted by the <br />iCity Manager with the addition of 810,000 for the Cooper-Burkhart House under Cate- <br />~gory 1, the transfer of $25,000 for the Council Chamber public address system from <br />~Category I to Category V, end the transfer of $7,385 to increase a Clerk-Typist in the <br />~Mayor's Office to full time from Category III to Category V. <br /> <br />~RESERVE FOR LIABILITY INSFRANCE AND CONTINGENC~ RESERVE <br />~Further, the City Council tentatively approved the establishment of a reserve of <br />~$250,000 for liability insurance increases, and increasing the Contingency Reserve <br />,from $250,000 to $300,000. <br /> <br />~At 3:55 p.m., the Mayor Pro Tempore declared the City Council meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />CITY CLERK <br /> <br />Motion <br />Second <br />Ayes <br /> <br /> Motion <br /> Second <br />I All Ayes <br /> <br />:Motion' <br />Second <br />~All Ayes <br /> <br />:A', <br /> <br /> , <br /> <br /> '. <br /> <br /> : <br /> :X', <br /> X', <br /> <br />:X: <br /> <br />70-549 <br /> <br /> <br />
