Motion [X~ <br /> Second <br /> All Ayes <br /> <br /> The Chair recognized the presence in the audience of Jim Pallunges representing the <br /> La Sierra Chamber of Commerce, Bob Parks representing the Magnolia Center Chamber of <br /> Commerce and Nell Kushner representing the Riverside Downtown Association. <br /> <br /> PRESENTATION <br />Mayor Brown presented a check in the amount of $1,900 to Lead Business Tax Inspector <br />Tom Gehrken, under the Employee Suggestion Award Program, for his suggestions regard- <br />ing amending the Municipal Code section on Delinquent Business Tax Penalties and <br />referral by the Public Utilities Customer Service Section of all business applicants <br />for utility services to the Business Tax Section for regist~ation. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The following items were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate to <br />those items listed on the Consent Calendar and as submitted to the City Council for Motion ~X[ <br />consideration, with the exception of the report regarding the Hazardous Materials Second <br />Disclosure Advisory Committee, which was removed to the Discussion Calendar. All Ayes <br /> <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION COMMISSION <br /> <br />~CASE EPC-55-845 - PROPOSED MEGGINSON TRUNK SEWER EXTENSION WLY. OF VAN BUREN BET. <br />~CYPRESS AND CHALLEN <br />~A communication was presented from the Environmental Protection Commission advising <br />ithat, on May 15, 1985, the Commission, by a vote of 7 ayes to 0 noes, determined that <br />.the proposed Megginson trunk sewer extension, a proposed 6,400-foot sewer main exten- <br />sion parallel to and approximately 300 to 700 feet westerly of Van Buren Boulevard <br />between Cypress Avenue and Challen Street, would not have a significant adverse <br />environmental effect, Case EPC-55-845. The Commission's finding was upheld by the <br />City Council. <br /> <br /> CASE EPC-57-845 - PROPOSED GRADING PLAN - 6774 HAWARDEN DRIVE <br />A couununication was presented from the Environmental Protection Commission advising <br />that, on May 15, 1985, the Commission, by a vote of 7 ayes to 0 noes, determined that <br />the proposed grading plan for a single-family residence on an approximately one-half <br />~acre lot at 6774 Hawarden Drive in Zone R-1-125 (Residential-I Zone) would not have a <br />~significant adverse environmental effect, subject to certain mitigating measures, <br />~Case EPC-57-845. The Co-~.ission's finding was upheld by the City Council. <br /> <br />~ ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />~COMPLETION - AIR CONDITIONING/HEATING DUCT AT CENTRAL LIBRARY <br />In consideration of the recommendation from the Administrative Services Department, <br />the work of installing air conditioning/heating duct at the Central Library, located <br />,at 3581 Seventh Street, by Dial One Air-Ex Air Conditioning, Inc., was accepted as <br />completed; and execution of the Notice of Completion was authorized and directed. <br /> <br /> PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT <br /> <br /> COMLPLETION - BORDWELL PARK DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS, EMERGENCY JOBS BILL 1983 <br /> In consideration of the reco~=nendation from the Public Works Department, the work of <br /> constructing certain drainage improvements at Bordwell Park, together with certain <br /> additional work, Emergency Jobs Bill 1983, located at Kansas and Pennsylvania Avenues, <br />~by Superior Gunire Company, was accepted as completed; and execution of the Notice of , <br />Completion was authorized and directed. <br /> <br /> 70-523 <br /> <br /> <br />
