<br /> Riverside Chamber of Commerce, Joe Pagan representing the Arlington Chamber of Com-
<br /> merce, Barbara Herfly representing the La Sierra Chamber of Co~nerce and Frank Vasquez
<br /> representing the Magnolia Center Chamber of Commerce.

<br /> YOUTH IN GO~ DAY
<br />Mayor Brown recognized the presence in the audience of the students from various high
<br />~schools participating in the Youth in Government Day Program sponsored by the Junior
<br />~Chamber of Coxmmerce, and introduced the participants to their City Official
<br />~Counterparts.

<br /> ZONING CASE C-26-590 (REVISED) - LUTHERAN CHURCH OF THE CROSS - 8775 MAGNOLIA
<br />~A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on
<br />~Mey 9, 1985, the Commission, by a vote of 7 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to
<br />~conditions the request of Lutheran Church of the Cross, Zoning Case C-26-590 (Re-
<br />=vised), for a revised conditional use permit to expand an existing school and pre-
<br />~school to 220 students on approximately five acres of land at 8775 Magnolia Avenue,
<br />=developed with a church, school and pre-school, situated on the northwesterly side of
<br />;Magnolis Avenue southwesterly of Monroe Street, in Zones R-1-65 and P; end determined
<br />~that the proposal would not have a significant adverse effect on the environment.

<br />~ZONING CASE C-13-812 (REVISED) - E. L. YEAGER CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC. - WESTERLY
<br />~OF WESTERLY TERMINUS OF EASTRIDGE
<br />~A communication was presented from the City Planning Comission advising that, on
<br />~Mey 9, 1985, the Commission, by a vote of 6 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject ~o
<br />conditions the request of E. L. Yeaget Construction Company, Inc., Zoning Case
<br />~C-13-812 (Revised), for a revised conditional use permit to expand a~ existing surface
<br />~mining operation by including an additional 25 vacant acres of land, situated approxi-
<br />~mately 0.65 mile westerly of the existing westerly terminus of Eastridge Avenue
<br />~(formerly Eucalyptus Avenue), in Zone RA; and determined that the proposal would not
<br />~have a significant adverse effect on the environment. The City Planning Commission
<br />~also reviewed a previously-approved approximately 59-acre surface mining operation lo-
<br />~cated adjacent to the northerly and westerly boundaries of the above-described 25-acre
<br />~property. The existing conditions of approval of this permit were updated to insure
<br />[mining and reclamation activities are compatible with existing and planned land uses
<br /> ~in
<br /> ~ the surrounding area, this review being required by one of the original conditions
<br /> ~o approval of Zoning Case C-13-812. It was determined that the City Council would
<br /> ~not set the matter for public hearing.

<br /> ~ZONING CASE C-32-845 - N. C. NIELSEN - 10455 HOLE AVENUE "
<br /> ~A co~nunication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on
<br /> ~Mey 9, 1985, the Commission, by a vote of 7 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to
<br /> ~conditions the request of N. C. Nielsen, Zoning Case C-32-845, for a conditional use
<br /> ~permit to establish a florist shop on approximately .31 acre of land at 10455 Hole
