<br />Mayor Brown pressrated a Proclamation to Robert Miller, representing the American Rod
<br />Cross, prochiming the month of March as Bed Cross Month in the City of Riverside, -

<br /> CONSENT CALENDAR
<br />:The followin8 items were apprave~ by one motion affmg the at=ions appropriate to
<br />~those items listed on the Consent Calendar and as submitted to the City Council for
<br />~consideration, with the exception of Case EPC-43-8~5, the report regarding contrac~
<br />~for re-roofing Desert Ho~ Springs Branch Librazy, and the proposed ordinance introduc-
<br />elion amending Title 18 regardinS security for construction of public improvemeans, all
<br />=of which were removed to the Discussion Calendar; and with the addition of adoption of
<br />~the ordinance finalizing Zoning Case R-2&-8~5 concurrsntly with the adoption of the
<br />~ordinance finalizing Zoning Case R-31-834, as shown on Page 70-383 of the Minutes.

<br /> A cmmu~ication was presented from ~he City Planning Cosaission advising that, on
<br /> February 21, 1985, the Commission, by a vote of 8 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject co
<br /> conditions the request of ~obil Oil Co., Zoning Case C-8-73~ (Revised), for a revised
<br /> conditional use permit to lower but retain an existing approximately 133-square-foot
<br /> nonconforming freestanding sign which is 75 feet high to 35 feet high and no change
<br />'the display face of an existing approximately 2~-square-foot, 8-foot-high tootorment
<br />,
<br />~sign on approximately .5 acre of land, developed with an existing service station, at
<br />~3215 Fourteenth Street, situsted on the northwest comer of Fourteenth and Mulberry
<br />~Streets, in Zone C-3. The zoning ordinance permits a single freestanding identifica-

<br /> determined that the City Council would not set the matter for public hearing.

<br />February 21, 1985, the Commission, by a vote of 8 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to
<br />conditions the request of C. Perez, Zoning Case C-23-789 (Revised), for a revised
<br />conditional use permit Co establish a church and incidental parking on approximately
<br />two vacant acres of land at ~646 Hedrick Avenue, situsted on the was= side of Hedrick
<br />Avenue northerly of Hole Avenue, in Zone R-1-65. 1~ was determined that the City
<br />Council would not set the matter for public hearing.

<br /> ZONING CASE C-2-801 (REVISED) - N. TAVAGLIONE- 1385 BLAINE STREET
<br />A communication was 'presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on
<br />=February 21, 1985, the Commission, by a vote of 8 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject ~o
<br />~conditions =he request of N. Tavaglione, Zoning Case C-2-801 (Revised), for a revised
<br />~conditional use permit to establish an approximately 72-square-foot, 35-foot-high
<br />~freestanding sign on approximately 2.13 acres of land developed with a mini-warehouse
<br />~facility within the shopping center a= ~385 Blaine Street, situated on the westerly
<br />~side of Iowa Avenue northerly of Blaine Street adjacent to the 60/215 Freeway, in
<br />~Zones C-3-S-1. In shopping centers only one freestanding identification sign is
<br />permitted, and in =his instance, one already exists. It was determined =ha~ the City
<br />,Council would not set =he matter for public hearing.
