<br /> ~7870 INDIANA AVENUE - DENIAL
<br /> ~A communication was presented from the Board of A~ministrative Appeals and Zoning
<br /> ~AdJustmant advising that, on January 23, 198~, the Board, by a vote of 7 ayes to
<br /> ZO noes, denied the request of Joe Redford (Toyota of Riverside), et el., Zoning Case
<br /> ZV-23-8~5 (Revised), for the followins revised variance to construct a freestanding
<br /> ~identification sign for a proposed automobile sales facility at 7870 Indiana Avenue,
<br /> ~situated on the easterly comer of Indiana Avenue and Jefferson Street, in Zone C-3:
<br /> ~to allow a freestanding sign 3~ feet high with 88 square feet of display area where a
<br /> ~freestanding sign 3~ feet high and ~2 square feet of display area is permitted. It
<br /> ,was determined that the City Council would not set the matter for public hearing, and
<br /> ~the request for variance stands denied.

<br /> ~TIME EXTENSION ON CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL - ZONING CASE R-38-789
<br /> A con~nunication was presented from Jack Knight requesting a retroactive time extension
<br /> ~in which to complete the conditions of approval under Zoning Case R-38-789, relating
<br /> ~to approximately 1.2 acres of land located on the southwesterly side of Jefferson
<br /> ~Street southeasterly of Indiana Avenue, located at 3218 Jefferson Street. Petition
<br /> :for a zone change was granted on December ~2, 1978, and this is the second request
<br /> ~for a time extension. The time extension was granted to December 12, 1985,
<br /> :retroactive to December ~2, 1983.

<br /> ~PARK AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT
<br />
<br /> ,COMPLETION - NICHOLS PARK VEHICLE BARRIER POSTS
<br /> ~In consideration of the recommendation from the Park and Recreation Department, the
<br /> :work of installing vehicle barrier posts at Nichols Park, located at ~50S Dewey
<br /> ~Avenue, by Steve Pandza Constructors, was accepted as completed; and execution of the
<br /> ~Notice of Completion was authorized and directed.
