<br />SWIMMING POOL MANAGER RECOGNITION
<br />Recognition was given the managers and assistant managers of the City's nine swim-
<br />ming pools operated by the Park and Recreation Department, and they were commended
<br />on their excellent safety record.

<br />Riverside Chamber of Commerce, A1 Pihl representing the Arlington Chamber of Com-
<br />merce, Ed Carloni representing the Magnolia Center Chamber of Commerce, and Richard
<br />Rust representing the University-Canyon Crest Chamber of Commerce.

<br />CONSENT CALENDAR
<br />The following items were approved by one motion affirming the actions appropriate
<br />to those items listed on the Consent Calendar and as submitted to the City Council
<br />for consideration, with the exception of the contract with Keep Riverside Ahead
<br />which was removed to the Discussion Calendar; and with Councilman Digati requesting
<br />his vote be shown as "Not Voting" on Zoning Case C-60-590 (Revised) because it is
<br />reasonably foreseeable that the decision will have a material financial effect on a
<br />source of income.

<br />ZONING CA~E C-60-590 (REVISED) - PARKVIEW COMMUNITY HOSPITAL - 3865 JACKSON STREET
<br />A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on
<br />August 8, 1985, the Commission, by a vote of 5 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to
<br />conditions the request of Parkview Community Hospital, Zoning Case C-60-590 (Re-
<br />vised), for a revised conditional use permit to build an education/office building
<br />on approximately 10.2 acres of land at 3865 Jackson Street, within the existing
<br />Parkview Hospital complex bounded by Jackson, Garfield, Wheeler and Miller Streets,
<br />in Zone R-1-65; and determined that the proposal would not have a significant ad-
<br />verse effect on the environment. It was determined that the matter would not be
<br />set for public hearing by the City Council.

<br />A communication was presented from the City Planning Commission advising that, on
<br />August 8, 1985, the Commission, by a vote of 5 ayes to 0 noes, approved subject to
<br />conditions the industrial plot plan of Trammel-Crow Company, Zoning Case MP-1-856,
<br />consisting of two warehouse/office buildings of approximately 72,000 and
<br />;114,700 square feet, respectively, with incidental parking on approximately
<br />[8.8 acres of land at 1601 Iowa Avenue, developed with an orange grove, situated on
<br />~the southwest corner of Iowa and Marlborough Avenues, in Zone MP; and determined
<br />[that the proposal would not have a significant adverse effect on the environment.
<br />[It was determined that the matter would not be set for public hearing by the City
<br />~Council.
