Cheryl Tavaglione–shared that the trophies for the awards event are approximately $33.00 <br />per trophy. <br />Krista Dixon –discussed that the symposium involves five speakers: <br />1.Alzheimer’s, Elder Attorney, Meridian Gardens, County Office on Aging, Hospice VNA <br />(care pathways training). Vendors, Resource Booths, Speakers, followed by Q & A. <br />Sandy Tarmo-Nomination forms, flyers need to be distributed to: Janet Goeske, La Sierra <br />Senior Center, Dales, Bobby Bonds, Stratton and Ysmael Villegas. Need this event promoted <br />on: GTV, Community Calendar, etc. <br />Also, the other items on the agenda will not be discussed –commissioners that requested these <br />items are not present. <br />Cyndi Pardee-shared Village to Village program (volunteers helping our seniors, this allows <br />residents to stay in their homeslonger) -still doing research hoping to identify if there is a need <br />for this program. Cities: with similar programs –Claremont, Pasadena, San Diego, etc. The <br />national organization is in Boston. <br />Sandy Tarmo–asked if the commission had any Future new Business Discussions <br />Krista Dixon–Family Service Assn.(FSA)has completed the apartments at Grand/Jurupa. FSA <br />is building additional apts. Krista wants someone from FSA to speak to the commission on <br />future projectsbeing planned. <br />SandyTarmo-Meeting Adjourned @ 5:04pm <br />
