Don Coon –suggested having a Senior Olympics format and these could be similar to those held in the City of Hemet and perhaps tyingthis to Senior Day. Julie Brown–also agreed that this could very well be part of Senior Day. Cheryl Tavaglione–acknowledged that Senior Day and Senior Olympics was an excellent idea Bob Reeves–discussed MCOA openings and that he met with CM Gardner. He also mentioned that diversity is needed in the Commission. Bob also mentioned that he and Commissioner Julie are taking Master Gardner classes. Discussed: upcoming Easter Egg Hunt taking place in the Eastside, Northside, Neighborhood fest on May 21 st, promoted computer classes at Janet Goeskescheduled for March 16 th Rich Gardner–shared the upcoming Purple City event taking place at City Hall Sandy Tarmo–discussed that letters for the upcoming Senior Day event needed to be mailed soon-this event needs to get started. Items for future consideration include: Senior Day, Mt. Rubidoux Health and Fitness event. Isabel Hunt–shared that a Grand Opening (Arrow Child & Family Ministries –4495 Magnolia Ave, Riverside 92501) will take placeon April 11, 2016 at 4:00 pm, all are invited. Lovelyn Rousak–from La Sierra University Music Dept. –invites all to participate at the different Music events taking place at LSU. Bernie Fradkin -sharedthat it is difficult to identify/report homes, businessesor individuals, who are providing inadequate service or are stealing from those individuals suffering from mental health issues.
