Bob Reeves-suggestedthe city put on a neighborhood facilitator trainingevent. Also, no luck with the Gardening at Dales Senior Center. He introduced FSA (Mobile Fresh Bus) to the residents at Mt. Rubidoux Manor. Bud Fish-extremely busy holiday season, distributed lots of food to those in need, participating with our Ladyof Perpetual Help. Also, participates with Meals on Wheels. Sandy Tarmo(Chair) -discussed item # 3on the agenda–scheduling future 2016 meeting locations: th 1.February 9-Dales Senior Center th 2.March 8-Janet Goeske Senior Center th 3.April 12-Stratton Center th 4.May 10 -Villegas Senior Center th 5.June 14 -La Sierra Senior Center th 6.July 12 -Orange Crest Senior Center th 7.August 9-Janet Goeske Senior Center th 8.September 13-Dales Senior Center th 9.October 11 -Stratton Center th 10.November 8 -La Sierra Senior Center th 11.December 13-open Sandy Tarmo-suggested the commissionhave 3-4 speakers per year, items to include: financial planning, fraud, etc. Bud Fish–speaker topics to include: Hospice, Burial, etc. Cheryl Tavaglione–topics: Grandparents raising their grandkids Vicki Broach–long term ins. for our seniors Sandy Tarmo–discussed item # 4on agenda -fundraiser event: Sandy received a proposal th from Janice Bielman(Meals on Wheels) outlining her ideas for this event. A day of May 14 was suggested. Madeline Pruett-made a motion to create a committee that could be used to select a stnd fundraiser event that would be viable. Maddie 1 and Cheryl 2and all othersagreed Sandy Tarmo -item # 5on agenda -Shari to chair Senior Citizen Day and Bud/Cheryl to assist. Madeline Pruett - no updates on the Golf Carts at this time –Bud to provide an update at our next meeting. Mayor Bailey had suggested a hike up to Mt. Rubidoux event for our seniors. Maddie will not continue as chair and so, Bud, Julie and Vicki will work this event.
